Re: New PEEK

Hi, I solved the issue by moving the FAN to heat 1 on the board. Thanks. The only thermocouple I have is for a kiln and it didn't verify the temperature very well. I am not sure on the plus/minus of it's accuracy. image.jpg But your comment brought me to thinking about measuring the temp at the area...

Re: New PEEK

The filament is twisting in the top of the hot end. Inside the red box between the gap that occurs between the 2 PTFE connections. Now this is with the old PEEK. Tomorrow evening Friday I will set it up with the "new' PEEK I received in the above pictures. Perhaps that will correct my issue. Al...

Re: New PEEK

Thank you Gene for replying. I think you confirmed that I have assumed the correct setup pictured above so that is helpful as I was not sure. So yes I do use a PEEK fan, and I agree my jamming issue most likely occurs because the hot end it to hot for the PLA. Now I have done some research on PLA ho...

Re: New PEEK

On the PEEK with only one tube. Do I install a very short amount PTFE tubing at the bottom nozzle end to fill that small gap or leave it empty for the setup? Does/did this style PEEK that has only one tube have more or less jamming/clogging issues? Did it melt more easily? Wonder which is the prefer...

Re: Rostock Max assembly

Hi, I built mine in January and I sort of had the same thought. These pieces don't seem to match exactly and I am trying to remember if mine where off by 1mm or so. I think they may have been. It is the depth and not the width as there are more pieces to the top than the bottom. Couple of pics may h...

New PEEK

I was having some trouble printing PLA and put it over here http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=4312 because I thought some of the picture may be helpful to others. Anyway...I ordered a new PEEK from SeeMeCNC. I thought I should have one since I print close to 230 a lot. But my new pe...

Re: Nozzle clogs - jams and other fun with PLA

I ordered a new PEEK from SeeMeCNC. I thought I should have one since I print close to 230 a lot. But My new peek is different from my old PEEK. It appears to be only big enough for a 4mm tube at the top of it and there seems to be some room for a 5-6mm tube around it at what I think is the bottom c...

Nozzle clogs - jams and other fun with PLA

I thought I should post some information about the fun I had swithing from ABS to PLA. So here goes. ME - new to 3D printing only had the Rostock Max for less than a month. So please ignore all the newbie mistakes. So here I am printing away on my 20th or so ABS print. I was a thing-a-verse paste ex...

Re: Hello from Dallas Tx

Hello, The only essential thing I found I needed to add to make it work was 24 inches of 14 guage wire for the heated bed. You will want to buy connectors for the electrical ends eventually but wiring up without to get it working is fine. The wire connection for the fan is not included and I used so...

Stock Rostock Max - no mods- no issues that I know about.

Hello, Ordered this January arrived 2 weeks ago. Built in about twenty hours. Took my time. I think it works great with ABS using 235 hotend and starting at 88 degree bed going up to 100 during print or closest it can until the print finished. Here are my pics. This weekend PLA is up. Need to try ny...

Re: Rostock MAX purchase poll

I was brand new to 3D printing when I checked into them in early January. Ordered 3D printing for Dummies off Amazon and read it cover to cover. From there I felt I was informed. Spent a weekend trolling the internet. Noticed a lot of machines were out of stock. Bid on Printrbot and let it go when i...
