Re: 1.2 mm Volcano + trimmer line
Yes! thank you gchristopher, Cura was sure I want to make 0.4 mm lines with 1.2 mm nozzle (it was automatically calculated, looks like bug to me). EDIT: yep, that's a bug: https://github.com/Ultimaker/Cura/issues/3095 IMG_8277.JPG New cubes are much better on the sides, but top and infill are almost...

1.2 mm Volcano + trimmer line
Hi. I was trying to print this part https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1278865/ with 1.2 mm Volcano nozzle using 0.065 inch trimmer line nylon, and results aren't great. 20180106_181758669_iOS.jpg 20180106_183746534_iOS.jpg 20180106_190315859_iOS.jpg Temperature was 256 degrees celsius, print speed 6...

Re: PCB smart effector and carriage adapters for Haydn Huntley's rods
I'm a huge fan of tricklaser products, so I'll prefer to stick with SeeMe rod spacing, for example using these things https://www.seemecnc.com/collections/parts-accessories/products/cnc-machined-ball-joint-kit (did I understand question right?) As for diamond, it would be great to have hotend above ...

Re: PCB smart effector and carriage adapters for Haydn Huntley's rods
I don't think you should, because E3D is kinda most widely-used. It's just me who want to use Diamond hotend with it, and my lack of skills to alter open source hardware except for mechanics makes me sad.
Sorry it looked like criticism, it wasn't intended.

Re: PEI disaster
I wonder why anyone would want it to be applied wet. With round shape, which is slightly (12" vs 300 mm) bigger than target size (of boro glass), and being bendable to be applied in line, it works perfectly being dry (just don't forget to remove protective film, lol).

> Which means 4 times more filament while printing. actually, no. You most likely wouldn't push filament with same speed. >When I do the math I could see that the area of a 1mm nozzle is 4 times the area of a 0.5mm nozzle. area - yes, but when printer prints a line, only diameter difference matters,...

Increased maximum permitted motor current on TMC2660 drivers to 2.4A oh, i've just ordered 0.9 servos with 2.0 Amps, after long calculations which one is better - 2.0 Amps but Inductance=3, or 2.4 amps with Inductance 1.8 :? First was chosen because of old limit 2.0 Amps  Other than that, grea...

Just got Retro-fit kit, and found out that I'm unable to unscrew anything from CF arms, hand slips and nothing moves. Tried to gently twist back and forth to loosen, no luck Any advices?

Re: Prometheus Hot End: Customizable All Metal Hot End!
It is very time consuming to do the color change and uses a lot of filament. Well how bad is it against, for example, Diamond hotend? I have both and it's not to easy to decide what to choose, configurability of Prometheus or 3 colours of Diamond. Also, I think colour switching should be faster an...

I am a backer of your new system and have a Max V3 on order, can't wait to play! So did I, also sent an Email trying to push for a new Heat Sink. Instead of having both sides flat, adding the curve back to the side opposite the fan and having a cut out for a thermal fuse for safety like the new sto...

Thank you for advices and link. I've just ordered CWD2425 with HSP-1 and HS501DR from Crydom at local electronics store. I am going to try to use external fixing, so ordered heater is almost same size as plate.

Thank you. What about relay? Should I use single channel relay just as with DC heater, or dual channel one for safety (i have ordered 220v pad)?

Re: SSR keeps blowing on 24V Heated bed
I think the big problem is almost all the SSR's on amazon and fleabay are garbage. I recommend you buy the Auber model rather than a Fotek knock-off. Their 100A DC-DC SSR is ~20$, and is very well regarded on here, as well as it's what I personally use. Do you know some good SSR's on amazon which a...
