Re: Axles on the Orion Delta...
Hello everyone. It's been awhile since my last post. I'm going to get back to printing as soon as I can. Just wanted to thank SeeMeCNC for the parts they sent me concerning the axles working their way out. I haven't yet had a chance to use the new parts but I will sometime in the near future. Thanks...

Re: Axles on the Orion Delta...
Concerning the "platform" revisions, I guess I've got "revision 1". Also on the
"revision 2" style, does that allow you to reposition the fan in 2 other locations?
Thanks,

check on. It's VO.95F.

Re: Axles on the Orion Delta...
"Gary" - As far as the rods go, they take quite awhile to "walk out". I don't think there is a lot of force though. I took someone else's advice and put a little lubricant on the shaft before pushing them back into place. The lubricant does allow the shafts to cause less binding ...

Re: Experimental bed cleaning technique...
That sounds like something I would like to try. Do you use plane typing paper or some other type of paper? Do you also put glue on the paper as well? Does the fact that your printing on paper have any effect on temperature as far as the print adhering to the paper? I'm printing with ABS at the momen...

Experimental bed cleaning technique...
Lately I've been experimenting with another way to clean the Orion heated bed. When the bed has cooled I use a razor blade in handle to scrape the bed until most of the residue is removed. Then I use alcohol pads to clean up the rest of the purple glue residue and then wipe it down with a Puffs Basi...

Guess I'm a little late in posting this. I did get a DropCam awhile back and have
been using it most of the time for some of the longer prints. It work great.
Thanks for all of your input - you guys are really great.
Take care,

Re: Orion heated bed...
I think I finally found out my problem. I believe that the fans from the computer
used for 3D Printing were causing a draft near that side of the bed causing a
cooling area unlike the right side of the bed. The plots so far are do not seem to
be as problematic.

Lately I've noticed that the left side of the heated bed seems to be allowing the parts to be raising from the bed. I tried a second print after moving the parts to the right as far as I could get them and they seem to be holding to the bed much better. I'm using ABS for the first time with a Nozzle...

Update to axle movement: I used a light oil from a barbers trimmer. It seems
to be working well. No movement since I applied the oil.
Thanks again for your suggestions,

Re: Axles on the Orion Delta...
Here is a picture concerning the axles. There is one that doesn't work out because the bracket holding the fan keeps it in place. I assume that a light oil could be used on axles, but if you have any suggestion on a particular type of oil - let me know. Thanks, Norm77... [img]http://i.imgur.com/96uC...

Has anyone had trouble with the axles (mainly the 3 at the bottom) working
their way out. The problem seems to be getting more pronounced lately.

I have just started printing with ABS and I seem to be having problems. They're not the same type of problems as I had with PLA. I am using a Test Disk 25.4mm dia. x 4.7mm thick (1" x 0.185") designed in AutoCAD. The biggest problems seem to be the layers in the model are "delaminatin...

Thanks for all of your responses. I used Polygonhell's suggestion and it
worked great. I guess from now on I will use that method.
Again I appreciate all of your comments.
This is a fantastic group - keep up the good that you do.

I'm using Solid Modeling in AutoCAD to create a sphere on a base. I was wondering if anyone has tried this and been successful printing this out. I've done it once and had no problems. Every time I try it now the print stops short of finishing the top of the sphere. I examined the G-code and sure en...

Your have done a lot more than I have ever had to do. The only thing that I have ever been successful with is the "Restore point". If I can ever think of anything else I sure will let you know. I have gotten some help from the SeeMeCNC web site on some other things, you could try them and ...

It's been awhile but when I tried the same thing you did, I got the same results. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't seem to work. To fix the problem I did a "Restore point" and chose a date previous to the initial installation. (Windows 7) It did work and then later I upgraded the softw...

I'm running Repetier-Host ver. 0.95F. I don't believe there were any errors in the LCD screen but as soon as it stopped printing, the hot end was resting on the part so I went ahead and homed the towers. I also just noticed that when I clicked on the G-Code Editor, in the display screen, It does sho...

I just got done with a 4 1/2 hour plot. The object was stopped about a 1/4"
from being done and the printer stopped. The printer did not home the
towers, it just stopped. What in Repetier-Host or Slic3r is set incorrectly.
Very frustrated'

Re: Wifi camera with iPhone...
Basically I'm trying to do the same thing. I want to set up to watch my 3D printer
and watch it on the iPhone. I would like to be able to set the camera up so that
I can see the print bed, so I guess I'm looking for a camera that records within
a few inches from the bed.

I did some research and found the SeeMeCNC had a version for the Orion Delta. So I'm a little nervous about downloading fr...
