Re: Blown Rambo?

Thanks for the advice and help!

Ultimachine offered to diagnose and fix the problem as long as I send it to them, so I'm going to go down that road. Also Matterhackers is nearby, so I may be able to pick up a new one...pricey, but I need to make some things for work.

Blown Rambo?

Long story short, my layer fan wires came into contact with the hot end, melted and shorted out across the hot end. The fan fuse (F3) blew, and I've replaced that. Now the temperatures for the bed and hot end read about 40C, but the room temperature is only 20 or less. When the temperature sensors a...

Rostock MAXED

Just took my Rostock to the max and wanted to share. Printed about 3 meters of filament in 6 minutes with the E3D Volcano (32 mm/s with .6 mm layer heights.) Notice the heater output, bed output and fan speed all maxed out! Picture1.png Seeing as I'm bragging about how fast I printed, figured I shou...

eeprom resetting

Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but I have a max v2. I haven't used it for a while, but I got it up and running again and everything seems fine, but the eeprom keeps resetting. I usually print from SD card, and when I went to print today (after I unplugged my computer), The extruder...

Re: Something not to do, when making really wide prints.

The latest firmware has some software to try and independently correct for small errors in tower position, rod length, and so with that version it will get closer. I suggest get the latest version and use its software leveling procedure. If that doesn't work message me and I can get you a version t...

Re: Resume from a Power Outage?

Ok, thanks.

I can answer most of those questions for the UPS, but I'm not sure how much power a Max v2 typically uses. I know the power supply is rated at 450 W, but I doubt the actual draw is anywhere near that??

Resume from a Power Outage?

Is there any way to resume a print after a power outage when printing from an SD card, or is the memory completely cleared?

If the memory is cleared, does anyone have a suggestion on a UPS?

-thanks

Man, I wish there was a link to that in the guide...would have done that from the start! :/

How do I remove the damage peek, just twist left?

Re: hot end salvageable?

Ok, thanks...found the peek

The heating resistors seem fine...How would I know if those were bad?

The thermistor acted a little strange when I turn the system back on. It read -8 C for a little while and then came up to room temp. Should that be ok, or should I replace that too?

Thanks

hot end salvageable?

So, I ran auto-tune and all was well, then I turned up the temperature to begin calibration and as I got near the base, the hot end started smoking a bit. I shut it down, but I think I was too late: 2014-05-30_03-52-56_730.jpg Is this salvageable or am I in the market for a new hot end? Upon further...

Re: assembly issue...

It is a great manual and no easy task, thank you Gene. Looking at those pictures, I found this one: https://www.flickr.com/photos/seemecnc/12599609365/in/set-72157641135766783/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; looks like the end stop wires are going through the y tower (but t...

Re: assembly issue...

The more I look at it, the more it seems the way that I installed it (switching the top plate x and y axes) is actually the correct way according to the website's picture of the final machine...If the guide is followed, there is no way to have the ezstruder on the front left with the eyes looking ri...

assembly issue...

I thought that I was just about ready for belts when I realized that my top plate was on backwards (upside down-The Z axis is is the right place, but the x and y are switched). Is it possible for me to keep this configuration and continue the build successfully?...realizing that the EZStruder and fi...
