Stretching issue/ non symmetry

Greetings, so basically my problem is the following. My rostock max V2 no longers print within a reasonable dimension. The offset in a particular dimension is far too great. Printing a circle results as an elliptic shape (noticeable only by measuring), square are slightly a rectangle. See picture fo...

Re: What causes this shifting?

I have this issue and the only time I get it, is moving the printer while it was moving. My rostock max v2 has about 900 hours of running and the arms wear out which results as wobbling issue. So everytime I move the printer during operation, it is certainly guarenteed to shift the layers. Therefore...

Re: Will this PSU unit work on Rostock Max V2?

Here is the spec according to Meanwell, oh and I do have only one hotend. Using the standard 40W cartridge. It seems I have the option to adjust the voltage from 10 to 13. http://www.meanwell.com/search/s-350/s-350-spec.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Edit: I forgot to t...

Will this PSU unit work on Rostock Max V2?

Greetings, I just want to make sure if this power supply will work for my rostock V2 with onyx bed 12V? The one by default has wear out and can no longer provide enough juice. http://www.voxelfactory.com/collections/reprap-parts-prusa-i3-others/products/12v-29a-power-supply-ac-110-220v" onclick...

Re: Custom Extruder for printing TPE Ninjaflex and other sof

A bit of necro, but is this custom extruder for the people who got older kit extruder? I can't seems to figure out the difference between this and the EZstruder from the stores.
I am willing to buy flexible filaments, but prefer to get all the set up ready before realizing I got screwed.

I had that issue for several reasons. Mainly caused by. Belt loose Epic uneven bed surface (curve is spotted even by bad eyesight) Zero Level calibration Filament colour At least, the first 3 you can adjust them. Filaments can be annoying because you dont know what type of pigment they have used to ...

Re: Temperature on hotend is always below target

I just upgraded for a 40W heating cartridge. It works much better, temperature may be off by 5-6C. Now, I'll need to cover any heating parts that is in contact with air.

Might used clay over kapton, might be overkill though

On the ultimaker, I used to have this issue, until I have done a complete upgrade.

Yup, I have already planned to buy one in one of the local store in montreal.

By the way to remove the sillicone, did you guys use some solvent or use some knife and carver tools to remove the RTV?

Re: Temperature on hotend is always below target

Hey,

I was involved with other works and when I tried to check again this week. The heating resistor seems to broken. Temperature is now barely heating properly. And as gestalt mentionned, the auto tuning really blow. I end up having 10 to 1000x times bigger/smaller values in all kp, ki and kd.

Re: Temperature on hotend is always below target

I'll give a check in the next few days, the only way to get the machine print so far is to increase the temperature target and then lower the temperature back. The machine then understand that it "has" reached the target temperature when the real temperature match the one fixed at.

Re: Temperature on hotend is always below target

It's to believe it's something related to the PID value.

No matter how high Kp or low it is, it should have a peak value. In this case, there was no peak, and the signal starts oscillating already. It's like the signal chosen, is different from the signal injected in the controller.

Temperature on hotend is always below target

Hey, this issue happened recently and hasn't been up until now. I have printed about 20-25 hours so far. Usually the temperature is oscillating and off by 1-2 degree max. Now, the temperature detected by the sensor never get past the target and is way off by.... let's Say the targeted temp is 228, b...

Re: Deform shape

Hi, I just wanted to give an update. I somehow managed to solve the problem. The carriage has too much friction on the T extruded, and as a result there was 2 carriage that could move freely out of 3. So I adjusted the screw and now the 3 carriages could move freely without much friction. It is now ...

The wire should measure about 10 feets, however, I only received 4 feets 1/2. I went to some shop and bought 4-22 gauge. Since I need it asap, I went to the shop and grab some extra wires.

Hello, I have this problem when I start printing ABS. Say I have a circle shape on a CAD files, I end up getting some elliptic shape. Or if I want to print a prism, the lines aren't that straight. Stepper powering LCD

Hey, I just finish building the Rostock Delta V2. Before I plug the power cord to the power supply, my LCD screen emits light when I was moving the extrusion arms attached to the motor. Is it something I should be worrying about? I thought you can't have current when the switch is off or the power c...
