Re: Rostock Max "Apollo" comes to life in Seattle!
Getting acquainted with Reptier-Host 1.0.4. Got the drop down thing figured out. Onboard video capability of my Dell Latitude laptop is insufficient for the rendering window, so no object/placement preview for me. The graphs and rest of the UI work, thankfully. It prints! One big stumble in the init...

Re: Rostock Max "Apollo" comes to life in Seattle!
Got through the initial PID tuning and position calibration. Will try to print the PEEK fan shroud in the morning. There is some disparity between the screens/menus of R-H 1.0.4 and the directions in the build manual. Don't seem to be able to select the ABS profile in the three drop downs while conf...

Re: New Rostock Max Owner
Having just finished my build, I feel compelled to share my pain. Absolutely worth cleaning up the power supply wiring. Removing all the unneeded wires and connectors helps reduce the amount of chaos in the base. I opted to add isolation mounts for the axis motors. Someone on this forum sells them, ...

Rostock Max "Apollo" comes to life in Seattle!
I finished the hardware build today. Only a few hiccups along the way. While building the upper half, I managed to put the base plate on upside-down. Became apparent when I was securing end stop wires. Now ultra careful about the orientation of every part, I was stymied while putting the spool suppo...

Re: Heat bed not working
I'm new here and am still learning may way around the RAMBo, but I notice that fuse F3 is missing from the fuseholder. Pretty sure that is for the hot end and not the heat bed, but maybe related to whatever caused the problem...

Re: Trouble with Onyx Rev 5 (6) bed installation
Do you mean to say that you have not added the 20 chapters to the manual that it would take to document each of the heatbeds that Seemecnc has created? In Steve's defense, out of versions 1-5, 3 was never stock (too high of a resistance, so it can't reach temp without more voltage), and 4 was an in...

Re: Hotend Failure
I got my non-insulated crimp ferrules at NAPA. They have a blister pack of the #18-#22 size. I think I paid about $3.50 and being NAPA there may be one close to you so you don't have to wait for brown truck. NAPA is also a place to get Permatex Ultra Copper goo.
