Yeah, that's similar to what I was trying to do but it wasn't going so well. Thanks a lot, I'll give it a go.JFettig wrote:Here is a fan shroud I designed for 360 deg cooling.http://repables.com/r/436

How do you guys handle uneven cooling?
Hey guys, I have been printing in PLA most recently and I am really happy with the results. The only problem I really noticed was the side opposite of my layer fan isn't as clean as the side with the cooling fan. Surely this is do to than fan only blowing from one side. What are you guys doing to ...

Re: Whats that Squeaking Sound?
I had a similar sound. It was actually the fan shroud scrapping along the part. I sanded down the shroud to provide more clearance and the squeaking went away.

Re: Stark Coma Ox? (Pic Heavy)
Hmm, I will try letting it dry more. I was adding a new coat before printing! I just finished a print and it literally pops off by itself when the bed has cooled slightly. They are tilt tabs. The windows tilt inwards to be cleaned and these keep the windows from falling into the house when they are ...

Re: Stark Coma Ox? (Pic Heavy)
I tried Cura again, this time with a faster Z-axis feed rate and preheating everything and it works better, but I still run into a problem. I have all of the speed values set up the same as Slic3r, but it seems to ignore these values and flies through the print way too quickly. I went out and got ...

Re: Stark Coma Ox? (Pic Heavy)
Thanks guys for the tips. I tried using Cura by using roughly the same settings that I have in Slic3r, but I got strange behaviour. When I'd start the print, the cheapskates home and then descend very slowly. It doesn't wait to heat the bed or the extruder even though in the G-code, the ...

Stark Coma Ox? (Pic Heavy)
Hello All! Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. I finished my printer the day before going out of town for thanksgiving and I am very excited to get back to it. I am terrible at naming things, so I have named my printer Stark Coma Ox which is an anagram for "A Rostock Max". :| StarkComaOx1.JPG ...

Kysan Wantai Confusion. Which pins go to what?
Hello everyone, I am just about to complete my build, but I am a little troubled by connecting my extruder extension cabling to my RAMBo. I have just reached page 190 in the guide where it tells me I may have Kysan brand stepper-motors. Now you tell me! Back on page 266 in Appendix A it had me ...

Re: Building my rostock.. First issue.
I actually just ran into this problem now( the top plate not being in the orientation it later shows in the guide). It's not unlikely that I would have made a mistake, but I had to make sure I wasn't going crazy. The problem seems to stem from the orientation shown on pg.121 where the top plate is ...

Re: New and pulling the trigger tomorrow!
Alright, that seems to have worked perfectly. I hope that it doesn't need to be dead on as I was only able to get the gears within +-0.3mm of their new positions. I guess ill find out when I put the belts on. On to searching the forums for how the rev7 Onyx bed is different!

Re: New and pulling the trigger tomorrow!
Could anyone point me in the direction of instructions for applying the dampeners? I have just reached "Installing the Drive Gear on the Stepper Motors" part of the manual and I imagine this about the time to be installing them. I have read thorugh this post: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php ...

Re: New and pulling the trigger tomorrow!
Thank you everyone,
I have received my kit. Ordered some astrosyn dampeners and the connectors suggested in the manual and I have started construction. I'll just stick with stock everything to begin with as you guys suggest and then work my way up to more extruders. Overexcited all the same!

Re: New and pulling the trigger tomorrow!
Well, I think I have changed my mind. I think I'll just get the V2 from SeeMeCNC. Just thinking about all the things I could do with that extra 1400. Any suggestions about upgrades to get from the get go? I literally have the additional $1400 ready for upgrades:) What do you guys think are the best ...

New and pulling the trigger tomorrow!
Hello Everyone! I am new to 3D printing and this will be my first printer. I intend on getting a pre-assembled Rostock Max from tricklaser. I am very excited! What do you guys think about the printer? I also plan on getting Generic Default's Tri-Hotend when he gets some made up. I just wanted to ...
