Re: Rostock MAX v2 Print not smooth
I'd be curious to see what the print walls look like. Weird idea, but have you checked your extruder drive gear and nozzle for wear? The shiny filaments look the worst and the pics posted by OP are representative. The faster I print the smoother it gets - I suppose the artifacts just get smeared ou...

Re: Rostock MAX v2 Print not smooth
How original is your V2? Are you still using the same aluminum U joints? What about the carriages? There's not much original left on it these days. Here's the list of changed bits (oldest to newest): E3D v6 + Volcano Duet 2 WiFi controller + PanelDue 7i Meanwell 12v 360W power supply SeeMeCNC Molde...

Re: Rostock MAX v2 Print not smooth
Hi, I just saw your posting and was wondering if you were able to resolve the problem. I recently had the same rough texture start appearing on my prints after having great surface quality for a long time running at 80-90mm/s print speeds. I tightened everything up, changed to new Gates belts and ch...

Re: Rostock max v2 mesh bed leveling
I certainly agree with the recommendation for the Duet board, but if you don't want to replace your entire hotend, you can get the Duet3D Smart Effector and an adapter from 713Maker so it will work with the molded cheapskate carriages. If you're using magballs you won't need the adapter. The Smart E...

Re: Odd pattern while printing
Just saw this posting so sorry for the lateness. I have found that reducing the amount the infill overlaps with the perimeter can really help minimize this effect, especially when you have only 2 or 3 perimeters. You just need to be careful not to reduce the overlap such that the infill isn't well f...

Re: Just built my V2
Thanks for all the replies guys. I went and tried each possible connection arrangement. Most failed to even light up the LCD. I put it back to my original arrangement and it started working fine. SD card slot works, menu works. Reset button still not working. I can feel the button being depressed (t...

Just built my V2
Hi all, Got the coolest xmas prezzie and I'm in the process of calibrating now! The build went very smoothly thanks to the excellent build manual. I think I have a bad LCD control panel though. The status display is fine and a can get to the menu by pressing the button, but button rotation does noth...
