Upgrading now is easier. I use a Corsair 750W modular supply. You won't regret it, but you may regret sticking with the stock power supply down the road.

I recommend printing it in PETG. It is strong, and many of the qualities of ABS except that it doesn't warp or shrink like ABS.

Agree with Ben. I suddenly developed the problem you described and redid my hotend PID settings and the problem was solved.

I wonder how much moisture would end up in the filament. I didn't see any drying mechanism in the video. Maybe you need to run this in a humidity controlled room?

It's most likely the PSU. The stock ones are mediocre. I replaced mine with a Corsair 750W and it doesn't take long for the heat bed to get to temp. Mine is sent to 95* for ABS

Just change the power settings in your computer so it doesn't "fall asleep." I print all the time with the computer connected - some prints over 10 hours. I've not even tried printing from the SD card. It's okay if the screen saver comes on but you don't want the monitor or hard drives to ...

It probably is closely related to the build process and making sure all of the mechanical aspects are correctly installed and functioning (i.e., no binding, looseness, etc.) My printer has held it's calibration since the day I built it and I have about 408hrs of use on it so far.

I've used PETG and it has a lot of good qualities. The thing that I don't like about it is it's tendency to ooze from the hotend... much more than ABS, which is what I use mainly.

Well, voltage and current aren't isn't the problem. The PSU is a Corsair 750W which is a very robust power supply. It was the PID tuning. I redid it a second time and all is well. I think over time, the resistors don't put out as much heat...and will probably put out less as they get even older. Tha...

You might double check your wiring to the hot end.. maybe the crimping isn't making solid contact with the heating resistors?

Since a lot of us don't have a .25mm nozzle, maybe you would consider printing a selling a few of those. I would be willing to pay for it.
