Re: Pitting on surface finish
Do you here pops when printing? This looks a little like the problems I had when I got a bad roll of filament with moisture problems. I dried it out in a ziplock storage bag with one of those silica dehumidifiers and it started printing OK again.

Filament stuck in hot end
My filament snapped off in the extruder and when I went to check it I found that it had somehow gotten stuck inside the hotend. I took it to glass temp and tried to pull it out but it wouldn't budge. I managed to get the nozzle off but I think there is plastic stuck in the cold end. Does anyone have...

Re: Not coming up to temperature...
I'm having a different problem in that I can't seem to get it to go over 255 purely from a firmware issue. The eeprom says the max is 255 and the configuration.h says the max is 255. I have it set to 300 in configuration.h but it stops it from going over when I try. I also have tried to change the v...

Re: Trouble with filament getting mangled in extruder
I've been playing with it and might have fixed it. The PTFE tubing wasnt all the way down in the hot end and I think I was getting some jamming. There was a lot of pressure that seemed to be applied when I was running the filament through. I disassembled the hot end and cleaned it out then reassembl...

I'm not sure if you posted the details, but are you selling these? I'd like one if you are.

Trouble with filament getting mangled in extruder
My prints have been going fine until recently when the filament has started getting mangled in the extruder at the very end of a print. Once this happens filament stops going through the extruder and the very end of the print fails. I'm not sure why this is happening and why it is happening at the v...

Re: Hatchbox ABS
My first role of Hatchbox ABS had a moisture problem and there was a lot of popping printing with it (and defects in the prints due to it). I had ordered 3 PLAs from them as well and figured out there was a defect in the packaging that must have let in moisture. The PLAs have all been printing great...

Re: Help with e3d v6 install
I'd like to piggyback on this thread. I just uploaded the new settings and the PID Max value did not change. It seems I am still limited at 255. Does this mean the firmware update was not successful? Or is there something else I need to do?

Stupid Question on PTFE Tubing
I'm working on upgrading my hotend to an e3d v6 and it comes with PTFE tubing, but I'd rather use the tubing I already have from the Rostock Max v2 build. That tubing is clear and I like to easily see where the filament is for when I'm changing the filaments. However, for the life of me I can't figu...

Re: Rostock Max Smoothieboard Tutorial
Are there any guides like this that are newb friendly? I understand the basics of upgrading but I still have a lot of questions. I'm thinking of getting a smoothieboard but the main thing holding me back is I'm not sure how to install it. Basically my questions are: 1) Does the LCD work with the smo...

Fixing the little problems in the print - How?
I just finished building a Rostock Max v2. It's my first experience with a 3d printer and I'm pretty darn happy and amazed that everything actually works. However, I have no idea how to tweak things to fix the little problems with the prints. Here is a picture of a fairly detailed print I just finis...
