Re: USB Type-C Print Head Connection

I'm willing to bet that the reason why they used USB Type-C is because the new cable is capable of carrying 100W of power. That's the reason why I thought it would be the perfect method for connecting a tool head to the controller.

Re: USB Type-C Print Head Connection

Ok, all the great ideas that I thought I had seem to be already incorporated in this Flux 3D printer. Magnetic arms, easily changed tool heads, USB-C... Oh well...

Nevermind... lol...

Re: USB Type-C Print Head Connection

Yeah, saw that one. It was an idea that I thought about for a bit, but I think that my idea is more expandable, and with less clutter.

USB Type-C Print Head Connection

I've been playing around with something that might seem odd to people, but give this a read and tell me what you think... With all the wires going into the tool head, it sometimes feels like it is an unnecessary challenge to disassemble the whole thing when you want to rebuild a print head. I began ...

Re: Better than Glue Stick?

Well, after a number of tests, I have to conclude that it isn't going to be a usable substitute. While it is easy to apply, and easy to cleanup, it definitely doesn't have the adhesion to do the really small jobs.

Oh well...

Better than Glue Stick?

I had an interesting idea the other night and I've since been testing it out with good success. PVA mold release. People who do fiberglass or carbon fiber work may be familiar with this thin green liquid, but I haven't heard of anyone using it for 3D printing surface adhesion before. A thin layer, a...

Re: 24v Accessories

What are you going to be using for a 24v power supply? I'm having trouble finding a reasonably priced 24v power supply that will put out more than 25A.

Re: 24v Accessories

I recently purchased a Rostock Max V2 and am enjoying it immensely. There are a few upgrades that I'm working on, and upgrading the Onyx bed to 24v is high on that list. I am using a Rambo v1.3L board in my Rostock, which seems to be tolerant of the higher voltages, so I assume that I don't need to ...
