Re: Hotend never reaches Temp

I should have thought of this earlier - start heating both the bed and the hot end and then check the voltage coming out of the power supply. You can use the terminal screws for the RAMBo input power as your test points. If you see anything less than around 11.5-ish, you've got a power supply probl...

Re: Hotend never reaches Temp

I am trying to get to 200 - its gets to 180ish.
If I try 210 its gets to about 190ish.
It always seems to be about 10-20 degrees under the recommended.

No, I haven't contacted support... I didn't know/think of it.
Will try support.

Thank you

Re: Hotend never reaches Temp

Hello, So I put my printer aside because I still could not figure out what is going on with it. Replaced the fuses in the rambo board. Tried new E3D hotend - still doesn't reach temp. Got a Bowden hotend (like original w/ new thermometer) - still doesn't reach temp. Have a multi-meter with temperatu...

Re: Hotend never reaches Temp

Unless I am wrong - this would mean I need a new board? Thoughts? Fuse looks good. Edit: ahh more fuses - Have 12...

Still working on this... The hot end I had was: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B010MSTVZO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It is a 12v (the rostock max 2 is a 12 volt right?) I have tried a few mounts: https://www.matterhackers.com/store/digital-designs/e3d-hotend-mount-for-rostock...

Re: Hotend never reaches Temp

@Mac the Knife - The terminal that burn out was the ones that power the bed and extruder. This terminal was replaced in my last fix. I double checked my solder work, the wires and the wires from the power supply. @Geneb - So either I change out the resistors or get a new hot end? I will try this - I...

Re: Heater Bed Power Connector melted.

You know I just removed the screw block terminal from the rambo - and dropped my soldering iron on the carpet. How did I put this thing together without burning down my house? But, I think its going to work again. Board looks okay otherwise. Question - do I need the PanelDue or can I still use the t...

Re: Heater Bed Power Connector melted.

Also I notice that the board is different, if I need a board is this the new one? Will it fit in the Rostock V2?

Heater Bed Power Connector melted.

Hello there piece makers! I been printing for about a year on my Rostock V2 - but I got a problem I cannot seem to fix. The positive power wire from the rambo to the bed, melted in the green wire inserts. (See picture) I peeled away the green bubble of plastic, but it is so melted I cannot get the s...

Re: [04Feb16 - Rostock MAX v2, 4th Edition Manual

Hey builders!

So far the manual has been great!
Question on the EZStruder, picture 10.3-1 on page 96 of the user manual (4.31 released feb 17 2016) seems to be assembled opposite to what is shown the in the checkpoint video. Which one is right? Does it matter?
