Re: Greetings from NH
If you haven't already, put a whip clip on your HE280 to ensure the plug doesn't work loose during printing or probing. If you get 25mm trimmed off your PTFE tube, then it's time to replace the 850mm tube or it might pull loose near the Y tower during probing. This link will begin the STL download o...

Re: Delta Calibration Wizard now online
So, arms changed by about 3%, and the scaling of my printed calibration cube is off by about half of that, so it definitely does affect scaling like changing the arm length would under any other circumstance... I'm going to give it a try with every value except for the arm length over the weekend. ...

Re: Delta Calibration Wizard now online
Remember, this wizard is a first time tool. After using it, you only need to use G29 or the LCD screen to auto calibrate your printer (such as when you clean the glass build plate). I'm printing on FaBlam in the photo. The HE280 auto calibration makes it way more fun to print on this stuff. It can l...

@rocky00717
Well, I don't think we've tested that, but I think it should work too, don't see why not.
We wrote instructions for MatterControl because it's what we recommend and it keeps everyone on the same page if we need to help anyone.

Re: 20161123 dev firmware
Here's a couple notes if you're going to venture into this. All of our printers at the shop are working great with the DEV branch as of TODAY !! 1) open arduino then File>Examples>EEPROM>eeprom_clear 2) connect printer and upload eeprom clear to erase everything on your RAMBo 3) open the new DEV dow...

@iKeyborg Getting the towers mechanically square is important. A better mechanical build only improves the final result.

Here's a Whip Clip you can print to keep the HE280 plug from coming out. We'll make an injection mold this next week to include them. The printed one works great.

Let's look at some of my mechanical build notes that can effect probing and printing results. 4) Wiring / Electrical: I just built this v3 in the pictures last week. It works great and it probed and printed first time, like all our other production printers. I did tweak the z probe offset a little ...

Re: A few build notes for the RostockMAX v3 Aficionado
yeah i dont know why anyone would install the bed mounts as shown in the instructions. they are clearly backwards and will offset your bed height by an unacceptable amount. You could install a 1/2" thick bed and will probe and print fine. That's the advantage of auto calibrating. Using the noz...

Steve, the bed mount is the only difference I see on how I assembled my V3. This is what's in the online manual: Screen Shot 2016-11-08 at 9.39.14 PM.png Are you saying that you installed the mounts opposite of what this photo shows - the red arrows pointing to the injector pin marks facing up? I d...

A few build notes for the RostockMAX v3 Aficionado
Let's look at some of my mechanical build notes that can effect probing and printing results. 1) Belt Tension: Don't need to sound like a guitar, but not loose. All three tightened the same. Be sure the belts ride over the pulley's nicely. Timing pulley's on the steppers are centered up with the bel...
