Re: Updating to MatterControl 1.7 ruins prints

I agree, matter-control ruins prints. Try repetier, slic3r, or simplify3D

Re: PEI disaster

I've lowered my bed temp to 80c and I'm not having any issues getting the piece off. I did have some problems with it curling at first but I just lowered my z=0 .05mm at a time till curling stopped The only think I don't like about the pei is that I think it makes my IR sensor less accurate. I am th...

Re: Trick Laser MAX METAL Build

Looks very nice. Just out of curiousity, how much did they want for the machining? Could you possibility just use a standard cnc and then finish the mounts for the magballs on a mill? I'm a complete novice on this sort of thing, but i've been watching a lot of youtube videos from this guy named AVE ...

Re: Trick Laser MAX METAL Build

Thanks for the info. I doubt the surface roughness would be an issue since its mostly uniform, however, the 5 percent variance likely would be an issue :-/ Did you see DC42's PCB carriages and effector? Looks pretty interesting. Basically, it allows for very percise location of the arms but without ...

Re: Aluminum Cyclops Water Cooling :D

Well guys, a month and a half later it's up and running again :D (my printer was only down for about a week) It really works well. The whole heat block is cool to the touch, even when heating my chamber up to 50c. I've printed for about 20 hours so far and no leaks. The prints look good (still some ...

I think you are experiencing a thermistor fault. Check your cabling to make sure there aren't any loose connections.

Did you try flipping around the ones for the LCD connectors, just in case. The way they are supposed to go in looks WRONG but it is in fact CORRECT.

Re: Effector Tilt

Yes, i agree. Like i said, i got the barbells level, but got no benefit so i put the old ones back in. It actually doesn't seem to affect print quality after auto calibration... but its disappointing when your height map looks like a taco when what your really after is a tortilla. :shrugs: But geneb...

Re: Effector Tilt

Hi,

I went the ballistic route and drilled out some of the barbells larger so i could adjust them. I made them all level but it didnt seem to have that great of an effect on effector tilt :-/

So it must be something else...

Re: Effector Tilt

Anyone got a fix for this? Maybe they are bad molds? Has anyone else checked their carriages? I did try flipping them around but it made approximately zero difference, and the one that was correct was the one that was reverse.

Flipping the dumbells had no effect

Yes, I was going to try to adjust the dumbells but they won't move at all. So they are definitely locked in.

Effector Tilt

Hi, I am having an issue with effector tilt which is affecting my printers print quality. Assuming I have a valid method for testing, it seems like the dumb-bells on the seemecnc trucks are not level with the bed. The two bearings on each carriage must be at the same height The bearings in each pair...

Re: BerdAir comeing soon From Yellow Jacket Concepts

i hooked it up to my rambo and it worked just fine, the rambo is rated for well over an amp (uses the same mosfet for the heated bed as it does for the fan) and it has a protection diode that prevents the mosfet from blowing. However, if you ever upgrade the electronics to the duet, the motor will f...

Delta Movement Test?

Hi,

Im working on getting my water cooling working and i got everything working, so now its time to check for leaks. I was wondering if anyone has a good delta movement test to test the movement range of the printer?

Thanks!

Hi.

As a master electrician, I'd say your design looks questionable at best, life threatening at worst. Hopefully you atleast bonded the case of the toolbox to ground.

Re: Quite disappointed

Hi,

You went on this forum in the wrong order. If you came sooner we could of helped. The timing belt is a minor issue that is easily fixed, and would not have caused the rambo to go bad... But, like wz said, the replacement rambo will work fine. you just need to reflash seemecnc's software.

looks like a poor mans prometheus dual extrusion kit. I hadn't seen it before to day. You're looking for the "retraction on tool change" setting.
