While it's a little late, I'm really surprised for the price of the printer, it didn't include the $7 in parts from this video.

We never installed the hotend stock. Ordered these right after ordering the V2.

Re: Settings to print fine details/jewelry with the V2
This company has the PEI with adhesive. http://www.cshyde.com/index.html I ordered it a little larger to give me a little wiggle room when laying it down. Once it's down you can run a sharp razor around the edge to trim it off. This was the part number they gave me. 36-3A-3D-D-12.25 -$11.76/each. Ha...

Re: Bowden tube too long?
I'm very new to this, but that doesn't look too long. Keep in mind you have that in the center of the bed.
Gently move it out to the extreme end similar to printing a large print and I think you'll see the slack come out of the tube.

To answer it, apparently we didn't save the file after adding the item. We have it working now.

Re: Added item doesn't print
I didn't describe it correctly, you are correct.
We did use edit and insert- my mistake. We could see both item in the preview screen on the right, even moved them to the sides so there was enough room in between them for the skirts.

Added item doesn't print
I searched the forums and haven't seen this. We opened an item to print, added a second item in Matter Control, but when we clicked on print, it only printed the original item, not the second item. I can't seem to find the step we must be missing. In thinking about the problem, it also had me wonder...

Just thought I'd try and give back a little. Save all those small pieces you pop out, don't take much room and there is always a use for them such as- The wires coming out of the bottom of the towers, it seems they tend to rub on the pulleys. We dremeled our down- how much depends on the wire gauge ...

Thanks for the complements, credit goes to the user guide. We'll try your suggestions on the layer fan shroud and see how that turns out.

So we printed the PEEK shroud last night. Trying to research what would have lead to these few issues. Thanks again for the help, great forum here. Thought I'd share a picture of the wiring so far, before we button it up. We have the threaded Hotend Thermistor and heating element. I like how much cleaner that looked. I have a round sheet of PEI with adhesive OTW. Used a Power Supply I had around. It's been a fun project to complete with my son....

Just wondering when running 3 layer fans, should they be wired in series or parallel?
Couldn't find that info anywhere.

Re: Rostock MAX™ v2 for son
So you're referring to advice on a non-3d printing oriented forum giving out bad 3d printing advice? What I think he means is, he looks at other forums about other things, and they give bad advice about those things. Therefore, he wants to know if we give bad advice as well, or are we a reputable b...

Another question I forgot to ask- a good beginners guide that most agree on? Second vote for the manual. It's pretty exceptional. Some of the advice I see on forum related to subject matter I know well shocks me. Trying to avoid that same bad advice as I help him get the most out of this. Most ever...

Rostock MAX™ v2 for son
So my inlaws are getting my son a Rostock MAX™ v2 for his Bday. Just getting on here to learn as much as I can to help him. So far, I already have a E3Dv6 with tip set, a set of NEMA 17 Dampers and 2 additional layer fans coming. I have a 750w Corsair PS left over from a PC build. Are there any othe...
