Re: OctoPrint Plugin!
the new plugin can replace the old probing code, but it is suggested that you run the old probing code before running the new plugin only to set the z height, for better reliability. if your z height is already good, then you really never need the old probing code. the new plugin just finds the bes...

Re: OctoPrint Plugin!
Like the initial "script" we would run to level the v3, I was told that I didn't need to run it every single time I printed. I have recently updated to the latest firmware, and run the awesome calibration wizard from DC42. I see this OctoPrint plugin and understand it is the same as manual...

Flexible Filament and the EZR
I searched and found posts on different printers, but I don't know if they have the same extruder. Does the EZRstruder handle flexible filament out of the box or are "modifications" needed. This is my first bowden setup so I would think that flexible would not work but just curious what su...

Re: Raspberry Pi Installation Instructions
Handy write-up for sure. I especially like the EEPROM add-on for reading the values. The auto-cal script doesn't work for me since the directory structure is different for some reason but overall., it helped me get my PI it up and running. Now I just need to find out where to power it without using ...

Re: While tweaking my V3, I managed to jam it all up
The official name for this printer is Britney Spears, or Britney for short, because oops, She did it again. I decided to start fresh as mentioned above. While I was at it, I did check the alignment of the filament and the gearing and it looks good. I re-printed the bandaid using Cura as the slicer o...

Re: While tweaking my V3, I managed to jam it all up
Yes, sometimes it is clicking. I can see the motor running and not pushing filament. On the Benchy.
On the bandaid, it worked no problem that is why Im lost.

Re: While tweaking my V3, I managed to jam it all up
Success! Then Epic FAIL yet again. I'm at a loss.... I decided to try the bandaid gcode so there was no possibility of me messing it up. After cleaning out all the red PLA fragments from the PTFE and the EZR I gave it a try. It printed OK. The results are not any where near as nice as Michael's in t...

Re: While tweaking my V3, I managed to jam it all up
I have had amazing prints ever since I switched to SD card printing (like I have always done on other printers). Mattercontrol from my junky laptop caused pausing/blobs/zits so I still use it to slice and save gcode to SD- so much better. Stringing has always been an issue so I changed retraction se...

Re: While tweaking my V3, I managed to jam it all up
That would be great if its just the EZR. Would a bad setting cause this? Like the EZR is trying to put too much filament through the nozzle that cant handle it?

While tweaking my V3, I managed to jam it all up
This printer is a trooper. She kept going and going through the struggle. It looks like I have a partial clogged extruder assembly. Thoughts? I have never cleaned one before so I'm hoping I don't have to tear this whole HE280 apart to fix it. [img]http://i1250.photobucket.com/albums/hh525/ido3dprint...

Re: Slicer Tests on the Rostock MAX V3
Decided to try Cura too. Your profile successfully imported into Cura, and its selectable from the "add machine" wizard but appears to be a stock reprap once loaded, square, 80x80. I don't think it was exported correct? I have imported other machines into cura before so while i'm not total...

Wowzers- It's amazing how the errors go away when you actually select the printer. It was on default like you said. Almost like you know what you are doing ;) Thanks for the prompt reply. About to print. The "Select new EXT and warm" and "Cool and retire" were the errors. I guess...

Re: Slicer Tests on the Rostock MAX V3
Oh the fun of just trying to make it go with no work on my part. FAIL. Downloaded and installed KISS, copied the profiles from above to the folder and sliced. There were a few errors I ignored since I figured it was normal (having no idea what I was doing and just hoping for the best) Loaded the SD ...

Re: Thermistor Parts List/Obsolesence Issue
Broke mine too. Just bought another off the website, didn't think to ask for a replacement since it was my fault. I also bought a 5 pack off amazon but they were the braided wire ones and oh boy was that a bugger to get in the tiny holes on the PCB. Since I was not happy with my soldering performanc...

Re: v3 all assembled, firmware loaded, and.....
My goodness. I totally missed that last video at http://seemecnc.dozuki.com/c/Rostock_Max_v3 I see that direct-connected with mattercontrol is the main slicing of choice. I have ALWAYS printed via SD cards so that will take some getting used to. Never used Mattercontrol before. Im a S3D user and dab...

I have the same basic settings as posted above in my PLA profile for S3D (with PLA temps of course), and the prints still look like doo-doo. A tweaking I will go!

v3 all assembled, firmware loaded, and.....
Here it goes- super n00b here but as long as I get a reply to help, i'm ok with being flamed. I have never had to run a probing "script" before. I see there is a script Gene posted and I have it ready to go. I guess I run the script on the printer as if it is a print file on the SD card? T...

Re: Hardware build completed in two solid days
I`m in the middle of the build, and have to agree that to find out what bag to use is the biggest challenge up until now. :) The overall instructions are very good. But I managed to Brake the thermomister while putting the PTFE tube onto each legs duringHE280 Assembly. Was pretty gentle but it crac...
