NEW Endstop Offset EEPROM Options

I was poking around the new firmware code and came across this new (new to me at least) Endstop offset option. The option let you ADD electronically (i.e. the value can not be negative) offset to the mechanical zero point of your screw end. Accessible from = EEPROM menu Units of increment = Steps 80...

DIY Onyx Bed Leveling Option

From day one I have always had some issues trying to get my Onyx bed to be level. The great bunch of people at Seemecnc even sent me a new one to try because of my issues. Unfortunately I could never get it just right. No mater what when my bed would heat up the center would rise almost 1mm which wh...

Re: Offer - Botfeeder Filament Review

So how did it print for you? I ordered a roll of silver from botfeeder.ca. I was very happy with boxing and shipping. My average diameter was very tight. I measure the same spot twice, 90° out to each other incase the filament is oval. My roll proved to be very round. Unfortunately my prints have b...

I am in bridging HELL…… LOL

I have tried various settings to get bridging to work on my max and for the most part it has, but my settings have one very annoying result. The perimeters on a bridge are way too fast. The inner extrusions obey the bridge speed setting but the perimeter of the same bridge uses the normal perimeter ...

Normally about 2 days. Give them until Friday and send another. They are great people and very easy to deal with.

Re: Electric bill scyrockets!!!

LOL its not your printer…… 1) Assuming you have the 450W power supply which is .450kW 2) Assuming you ran the printer balls to the wall full speed with the heat at 100% consuming the full .450kW (which you are not doing, I promise!) 3) Assuming you ran the printer 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 ...

Re: Do I have a defective build plate?

I just wanted to give you all an update, I spoke with john at SeeMeCNC and they are sending out a replacement plate at no cost. I must say it is nice to deal with a company who is so available to its customers. Happy New Year everyone!

Re: Do I have a defective build plate?

I see what you all are saying about large prints and contractions, but most of my prints are small. In this case the print was less than 4" long.

Is there a seemecnc rep on the forum I should contact about this?

Do I have a defective build plate?

I purchased the glass build plate from SeeMeCNC (was not included back in April 2013) and mine seems to have broken mysteriously. Here are my methods and a pic of what has happened. 1) I print only ABS 2) I use Elmer's purple children's glue as a binder 3) I print at 230c with a bed temp of 90c 4) I...

Re: Strange Print Behavior After Firmware Update

You title says you changed your firmware. If so, from what version to what version? I've noticed the motor currents are lower in the SeeMeCnc .83 version than the .80 version and that caused some problems for me. I am not sure what I was on. I purchased the machine in April and used the latest at t...

Re: Strange Print Behavior After Firmware Update

I hate that "useless sputter sputter" :!: What slicer are you uusing :?: I've had better luck with Kisslicer. I set the perimeters for more than neccesary, like you want three to make the wall, I would set it for 10. Then look at the toolpath, you will see any tiny moves and be able to tr...

cope413 wrote:just out of curiosity, why are you at .95 extrusion multiplier? Why not just measure your filament and use 1.0?
I did measure the filament however, when I did the thin wall test the filament was coming out a bit too much.

Do you think I should double check the filament size and test again?

Re: Printer Halts on SD Card Print TWICE

I thought USB as well, but I am printing directly from the SD card. Also, I even unplugged the USB cable for the second print and in both cases the print stopped at 28%. Can you tell me what layer it was on? Unfortunately the display did not mention the layer since I was printing off the SD card. H...

Re: Strange Print Behavior After Firmware Update

I just wanted to mention the first "better" print was done before I dialed in my extrusion multiplier by doing the thin wall cube test.
After that test I had changed my multiplier to .95.
Also I am still using the .5mm stock nozzle.

Strange Print Behavior After Firmware Update

I am trying to print a longer filament spool rod since I now need to accommodate a wider roll. I thought this would be a simple task since I printed my original MAX spool rods before I even had the printer dialed in. Unfortunately when I try to print a longer version of the original spool rod, slice...

Re: Printer Halts on SD Card Print TWICE

Perhaps posting your gcode file might help, also take a look at your temperature readings and make sure it didn't suddenly just turn off mid print. Sorry about that….. Printer Halts on SD Card Print TWICE

My second creation was to be an iPhone holder that mounts to my bed rail so i could easily answer the phone when I am on call for my job. Exceptionally Slow SD Card Upload Speeds

1) I have a iMAC and for the most part cannot print from it because the printer will eventually starve for data and kill the print. 2) I have no idea why this happens but as a work around I have been removing the SD card and saving directly to it. 3) The reason I remove the card is because it takes ...

Re: Printing with ABS - A Primer

I just want to clarify what seems like an obvious point you made. 1) I should NOT use a layer fan with ABS? 2) That being said then how long do you all delay till the next layer? - I use a layer fan because of heat soak issues with small parts. However, I am not always happy with my layer adhesion r...
