Re: Design documents available?

The document '71624FORSTL3DPRINTINGRIGHTXBearingBlock_fixed.stl' is similar to the injection-molded piece, but not identical. It looks like it would be perfectly fine to print a replacement part, but the differences can cause a problem for what I am trying to do. (I am using openSCAD and want to ma...

http://youtu.be/oe3HJzL1vQI Neil Underwood has a few videos that have some calibrate ideas. The printers might be different but the concepts are decent.

Re: Prober Mods 3mm out of 1.75 parts

UPDATE I'm putting this project on hold for a while as I experienced my first failure with it working. The problem is a balance of heat and pressure. The tests above worked with one resistor heating, but not well enough on 3mm plastic. My failure was caused by adding the second resistor for heating...

Re: Prober Mods 3mm out of 1.75 parts

So there is no Teflon tube in the center?? None For ABS I've found more problems with the Teflon then its worth. Huh, interesting. I would like to see a larger write up and more pictures on this please. Kinda short on time today but will give you a few basic tips to be followed later. Mainly its ab...

Prober Mods 3mm out of 1.75 parts

I posted a while back about using the standard 1.75 mm to run 3mm plastic. This is it and it works. The major change is taking the PTFE tube out. The hole sizes are standard sizes used by MakerGear on their fine head. Much of my MG experience was placed into this Mod. Note: this is only used for ABS...

H-1 Mounting Plate

Hi, took the fine work done on the linear carrage and stripped it down. The goal is to make a flat H-1 Mounting Plate for Steve's Extruder. Plus it can be used for other things. Waiting on some parts then hope to print it up and maybe use these boltable pla bushings on the bottome of the plate and u...

Calibrating your H-1

Starting points from the Yahoo site (read most of the threads) Starting Points: Use http://richrap.%20blogspot.%20com/2012/%2001/slic3r-%20is-nicer-%20part-1-settings-%20and.html As for the steps per mm on the extruder, I calculated 284/mm @ 1/8 step.
