I use ViaCAD pro7 which has a similar feature set to ViaCAD3D v8.
It's nice to do quick sketches in, but I find the lack of construction history painful if I'm iterating on parts.

Looks to me lie your extruder steps are too low or the filament is slipping, you should verify them.
Also looks like you have significant backlash in X, make sure the belt is tight.
Are you using PLA or ABS?

I think I dropped my PLA temperature a 10C getting it to end up looking like a square tower.

For the current your pushing through it 24AWG should be fine.
Having said that I personally use the twisted pair per terminal.

Maxing the pot might make it worse, you need to find the right balance. There is a little checkbox in the interface since 7.0 to generate support, I occasionally see it report "generating support" and I have never seen any support material in the print.

Has anyone gotten this to work?

Interesting I hadn't considered the bottom of the Nyloc as a possible source for the Z wobble, I'd just assumed it was a function of the threaded rods and the lack of top bracing.
I'm going to have to tear it down again and look now

Another update, I pulled down the latest copy of Slic3r last night and it now supports a different temperature for the base layer.
Running the base layer at 195 to aid adhesion of the base layer and the rest of the print at 190 has significantly improved the print quality with tall thin models.

Hopefully the forum will be more consumable than the group format is.
So far I've printed 2 bridge test cubes on my H1, not a bad first print, but needs some tuning, managed to block my hot end and I'm waiting for some replacement tubing to print some more.
