PTC connector replacement / upgrade

Post by Jimustanguitar »

Hey guys! I saw somebody mention replacing their Bowden fittings with a non quick connect variety. They said it removed some slop and was a good upgrade, but I can't find the thread when I search for it.

I'm assuming that these Bowden tubes are pneumatic tubing that will work with a compression fitting, but I'm having trouble finding one compatible with 4mm tubing that has the right threads. Anybody have a source for these?

Not sure if it helps you at all or not, but my far and away favorite is the PTFC that comes with the new E3D hotends and their bowden tubes.

Very secure grip, and they also allow the tube to pass completely through the fitting and deep into the extruder/hotend, therefor reducing gaps and the chance of kinking.
