Build volume with carbon arms

Post by ruggie »

I got a RM32 stock with carbon fiber arms already installed and they updated Duet before shipping. I read on the carbon fiber arms page: "These arms are slightly longer than arms for the RostockMAX series, so the maximum printable height will be shorter" and from the RM32 page: "Carbon fiber arms decrease the height, however increase the printable diameter."

What build volume would I put into slicers with the carbon fiber arms on the RM32? I'm not sure if it is tiny or significant change?

Home the machine and subtract 1mm from the Z height shown in the Duet display. That's a reasonable figure to use for max printing height.

Oh, I didn't realize the difference would be that small! Thanks for the answer.
