Artemis with Duet Filament Runout Sensor

Post by DeepsReddy »

Hey Guys,
New to the forum and the family. Purchased an Artemis this week because Deltas are cool and I wanted one.

Given the massive print volume, a filament runout sensor seems to make sense. Has anyone dabbled with adding a run-out sensor to their Artemis? Seems doable with the duet.

Looking for any wisdom or advice for those who have already tackled this issue.

Thanks,
D

You want to buy one of these : https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JJ2835X/

Instructions are here:

To give you a hint, the M591 command goes into your config.g file and you want it to trigger a pause.g

Seemecnc should really make this anoption on their printers.

Also see duet sells a “laser” filament detector too....

Instructions are here: https://duet3d.dozuki.com/Wiki/Duet3dFi ... serVersion

For £25, I might have to try it.
