3D Printing in Nebraska!
Greetings!
Lord and Lady McGrumpy here, long-time 3D printers and technological enthusiasts.
Lord McGrumpy (Primary user of this account) is a senior plastic engineer currently working in (not plastics) while he gets his print-farm up and running. Currently he works by day at (redacted) making foam seat cushions, the rest of his time is spent tending his caterpillar garden and tuning 3D printers. A long time user of 3D printing, Lord McGrumpy was 3D printing injection molds and mold components back in the early 1990s before all this became "cool." That's right, Lord McGrumpy is a 3D printer hipster and drinks off-brand beer for that ironic flavor!
Lady McGrumpy crossed Lord McGrumpy's path about 5 years ago. She asked for a welding lesson and never went home. She went from sticking two pieces of rod together with a Harbor Freight "welder" to "certified in five proceses/all positions" in less time than average. Now she welds metal all day in a factory, and welds stuff all evening in her fabrication shop.
Our printing farm consists of a Folgertech I3, two TAZ-5s, a Monoprice Mini Select, and a Robo R1. Latest edition hopefully arriving this week is an Orion from SeeMeCNC. This latest printer will enable us to print enormous sex toys out of semi-flex large vertical parts for an agricultural equipment company.

Yeah, well I'm also building a 12x20 shed by myself and I have to finish it before it starts raining on Sunday. Don't worry, I'm on the docs.

That's a big shed Gene, good luck in getting it built before it rains. When you get a chance stop by Ohio and help me build mine.geneb wrote:Yeah, well I'm also building a 12x20 shed by myself and I have to finish it before it starts raining on Sunday. Don't worry, I'm on the docs.
