Greetings from the PNW
Got my V3 over the holidays, diy kit. Build went without hitch, hot end working just fine, heated bed not so well, after trouble shooting with tech we determined the bed was defective, second bed was received, works much better but still not warming up to my desired temp 100c.
Re: Greetings from the PNW
Welcome, perhaps print on something other than glass to make it so printing on a 75degree bed is ok? That or go 24v on the bed.

FYI, there's zero reason to need 100C on a heated bed.

Well I'm printing xt-cf20 so there is a need for higher bed temps. I got the HB dialed in, holding 100c with some pid tuning.geneb wrote:FYI, there's zero reason to need 100C on a heated bed.

Wow! is that 100c with the fans running?
Re: Greetings from the PNW
Welcome fellow PNW'ener! I have insulated my bed with foam and now doing the 24v to the bed. The bad part of the foam is that it is hard to keep cool enough for TPU to stick. I wish that I had just done the 24v, but, I can scrape the foam out
Rostock Max V3, 24v, Prometheus and 713maker, AON-M big printer, Mosaic Palette (since it only does PLA, trying to decide what to do with), Prusa i3 MK2 w/4 extruders (waiting), HDS6200 surveying laser scanner and two older surveying laser scanners
Re: Greetings from the PNW
I insulated mine with reflective insulation, heats up much faster than stock but at last test I couldn't get anywhere near 100 with any fans running.
Re: Greetings from the PNW
Hello, fellow PNW'er! I'm also new to the club, but my V3 is working a treat so far. Enjoy and congrats!
