Rostock Max V3 Locked up?

Post by hebbster »

Completed the build a few weeks ago & still learning how to really use it, had a long print last night & forgot to come back to turn everything off. Printed from SD card using the interface & wanted to do another different print today - but now it seems to be locked up?

Only has the "SeeMeCNC RostockMAXv3 FW 20161114 Repetier v 0.92.2" on the LCD control panel & turning knob/pressing buttons works. Connects via Matter Control using usb, but still nothing changes on the the printer. Removing SD card does nothing (same response w/ & w/o card), turning off unit & back on no change.

looked at the terminal in Matter Control when connected, seems to be repeating pattern of "<-iis2dh accelerometer initializing...
<-
<-start" but to be honest I don't know enough about what to expect to troubleshoot it. Here, I'll export the logfile maybe someone can give me some ideas what to try next??
Is there a master reboot or something I should be trying? Power off/on doesn't do anything... Thx for any ideas!!

Sorry I don't get that suggestion - it might change overnight? Guessing it has 20+ printing hours on it (who knows how much on-time) & the unit wasn't moved except removing the SD card to put another image on it (previous 7+ hour print was printed from the card).

The last print it did (maybe 8 hour print, longest to date) did report "Killed" when I came in this morning, but the print was finished & came out just fine. What would I check, is there some sort of troubleshooting routine or how do I test for working components?

Have you checked the connector at the hotend? Apparently it can work loose if you haven't made PartDaddy's clip for it.

Now understand, will check that in the morning when I'm back there. Saw that in the build notes thread a while ago (http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=112&t=11104) but didn't make the connection (no pun intended). Will see if that's the issue.

Thanks Gentlemen, that was it!

Hotend connector worked loose on one end, enough to cause the lockup error. Will be printing the clip when I have more time tomorrow night...
