Rostock Max V4 Homes in Wrong Direction

Post by Twingert »

I hadn't used this printer for some time so I anticipated some potential issues. Fortunately all went well and I have been using it again for the past week without any issues.

I had to transport the printer to a new location. I thought it might be a good idea to update the firmware (WHAT WAS I THINKING?) since I was already moving it. I was able to get it updated to version 3.4.4. Unfortunately every since I did that, I cannot get it to home correctly. When I try to home the machine it basically takes a nose dive for the glass plate and proceeds to act like a jackhammer. until I Emergency Stop it. I figure the sign for the z axis is incorrect I just don't know how to resolve that issue. Thank you for any assistance.

Twingert, assuming you're using the WiFi interface, look here:
https://github.com/seemecnc/RostockMAX- ... /SD%20Wifi

All the configuration settings for your machine should be in there - the items that will affect your homing direction are in the M569 commands. Do you have S0 set for the first three drives?

I did have all 3 of them set at S0. When I changed them all to S1 it allowed me to finally home the machine and run a delta calibration. Now my issue is the extruder is also running in reverse.

Then you need to make the same adjustment for the extruder drives.
