rostock max v3, solder bridge

Post by clever_rogue »

Hi everyone,

I'm at the home stretch of my build and wanted to confirm something: during Step 4 Final Assembly, Step 29 of a rev10 bed, Step 5 mentions bridging the two solder pads as shown and has red arrow pointing to 2+ and diagonal pad, but the subsequent image doesn't show any pad bridged together. I wanted to verify if I'm only bridging 2+ with the diagonal pad or if I'm bridging 1+ and 2+ pads using the diagonal pad?

The photos may have been taken out of order. Follow the text and you'll be fine.

I guess the crux of it is if they're counting that diagonal strip as a pad, therefore solder the diagonal pad and 2+ pad together, or if they mean bridge 1+ and 2+ together using the diagonal strip, but there's no picture to help conform what is intended.

It's very clear - bridge only the two pads that are "linked" by the red line.
