H1.1 Assembly Manual

Post by Paul Kelley »

I only see 3 assembly steps for the H1.1. Would the H1 assembly manual be valid for the rest?

The Official manual writer guru has been working on finishing it up. If there's anything specific you would like to see included in the manual, ask for it in the post here. Thanks

I was totally baffled by Step 5, putting together the bearings. Nothing looked the same.

Fortunately, the pictures in
jcugnoni's post (#25) in this thread and the picture of what's included in the upgrade kit showed me how to ignore that step.

(I still don't know what the black plates: top middle of that picture, are for, but I assume I'll figure it out or find the appropriate post once I run into that roadblock.) Edit: They are timing-belt clamps. Fold them in half to lock on to the belt cogs.

Edit:
Also, I didn't know that the bar clamps now go on top of the Z carriages until I saw the video. If you put the clamps on the bottom there is no place to drill holes for the two screws on each timing-belt clamp.
