Geared extruder
Anyone interested in selling their geared extruder from the original Rostock Max kit?
Re: Geared extruder
Curious as to what you want it for, I had a terrible time with it. What's it worth to you? I have one I wouldn't cry to see go.jesse wrote:Anyone interested in selling their geared extruder from the original Rostock Max kit?

Re: Geared extruder
I have an original Steve's extruder, PM me.
Re: Geared extruder
I assembled a folgertech kossel 2020 kit. The included direct drive extruder is very weak. I'd like to use the Steve's extruder because it has a gear ratio that makes it strong.theverant wrote:Curious as to what you want it for, I had a terrible time with it. What's it worth to you? Jimustanguitar PMed with offer. The other people who bought a folgertech 2020 are also seeking a better extruder (freenode #folgertech).
Re: Geared extruder
Check out Drew's planetary geared extruder or one of the many versions of the Greg/Wade extruders. RichRap made one meant for 1.75bowden.
Re: Geared extruder
I printed the parts to the RichRap geared bowden extruder and am waiting for the metal parts to arrive.Nylocke wrote:Check out Drew's planetary geared extruder or one of the many versions of the Greg/Wade extruders. RichRap made one meant for 1.75bowden.
Re: Geared extruder
Try to do the gears in PLA if you haven't, they will last longer.
Re: Geared extruder
Yes, I did. I printed a set of normal-style and herringbone-style gears.Nylocke wrote:Try to do the gears in PLA if you haven't, they will last longer.
