Help Designing a part for my vending machine

Post by apostoly »

Hi all,

I started playing around in tinercad, seems pretty easy but im a complete novice at 3D designing.

I need to design and print a little cam used in a Drink Vending machine hat has snapped in half.

If i was to take a photo with the complete measurements, would anyone volunteer to design it for me??

Im sure it wont take long, but for me it has taken.... i dont want to say how long, and its not working the way i would have liked.

I know practice makes perfect, but i just need this part so we can get the machine up and running again then i will continue practicing.

Please let me know if anyone is willing to give it a go and i will take photos and measurements for you.

Thanks Paul

I'd be happy to help a fellow countryman - give me some shots and dimensions and all should be good :)

Here's a link to the .stl file. I made a few best guesses on this, and I'm pretty sure that the 'teeth' pairs are supposed to be the same size, but they're not. If you know that they're supposed to be identical, let me know and I'll fix it.

Which Cad software do you use to design as well as you do?

I made a mistake and said that the whole diameter was 60mm but in fact side to side minus the teeth is 60mm

Ive let McSlappy know, hopefully its not a pain to resolve
