I am printing this file - http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:81908 in all the filaments I have - PLA, ABS, Bendlay, 618, and Trimmer Line.
PLA was easy, for obvious reasons.
I thought ABS would fail miserably, but I was really happy (and surprised with the result)
Trimmer line was next. I left my machine last night when it was about 40% done, and it looked fantastic.
Came back this morning to this...
So close, yet so far away.
I chopped off the top and ended up with this, which is still a nice print - but not as cool as the full size
It's a pretty cool print to show off printer calibration/layer alignment as well as filament properties. Also, it's a way to show your friends with cartesian bots how much bigger you can print on the Max
