Here is the problem.
MC ran okay and then I upgraded.
The file setting are hidden somewhere since I did remove the program and reinstall. It remembers my old settings.
I can connect and open the terminal and home the machine.
The extruder and bed will heat up manually.
I slice a part and set everything up and save settings.
Pushing the print now button does nothing on my machine.
I did notice when upgrading something messed with my baud settings. I have them matched again but still no joy.
Any other thoughts on getting MC working again?
Running out of ideas to troubleshoot this since it WAS working until I upgraded.
My printer is the orion on win 7 64 bit system.

Re: Trouble shooting connection
You could uninstall and delete the files/folder located in C:\Users<user>\AppData\Local\MatterControl
Then re-install it to start over if you think it's corrupted somehow.
I'm not sure why an upgrade would of changed the baud settings.

Re: Trouble shooting connection
I'm actually here chasing this same issue. I've seen this happen on 3 machines now and I'd love to know why.
- what happens if you leave it for a long time? Will it eventually print?
- have you tried downgrading to Repetier Host? Does it run with RH? Again I'm curious since this worked for me and MC still wont.

... Oh also..
The baud settings on your LCD - are they totally whacked out? When you restart the machine after correcting them are they back to being wrong?

Re: Trouble shooting connection
My backup is Repetier but MC seems to be whacky. The baud settings change by themselves after I save them to match.
I had luck when setting MC to not auto connect and then manually connect.
This new version I never did get it to run the machine but the manual settings work so it indeed is connected.
It seems the G-Code isn't getting generated?
I have to stop and completely clean the machine computer settings and start over clean.
I'll report if I figure out WTF is whacky (technical term for FUBAR)
