Yep, all the way from the Fort! I'll be there on behalf of this: http://www.thegigcity.com/startup-tracks/3d-printing/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; scouting talented companies that are a good fit for the accelerator, etc. I'm a specialist with them at this point.

It'll be good to see you again, Cope. I speak in one of the sessions and introduce others on Saturday, but Friday I'll probably be on the floor with one of the video crews.
I also look forward to meeting you, John. Lee Goldberg, the writer who did the feature on you guys last year will be there as well (all our writers will be there).
FYI, we expect a relatively busy show floor, particularly on Saturday. Fun names on some of the badges like Sony Entertainment, DreamWorks, Disney, Blizzard, various FX companies. I don't think there has been another 3D printing show like it. A lot of personal printers and pricey pro stuff on the same floor, with makers, engineers, educators, artists and Hollywood-types packing the place.
We're excited, but I may need CPR by Sunday.

Re: 3D Printer World Expo in Burbank, CA 1/31-2/1 2014
Not the SeeMeCNC crew in the wild but thought this note I sent to John might be of interest...
We just returned from the Sun N Fun airshow in Lakeland Florida.
We took along the printer to demonstrate in the Engines Workshop which we co-chair.
Gene had sent us a few parts he had made for the spitfire guys in Australia and we had several of our own parts that we use for avionics we make.
I was not expecting the level of interest we received. I would start at 9AM and talk non-stop until we shut down for the Thunderbirds at 2:30 due to noise. I had downloaded a small jet from thingverse to print, takes about 45 min per, used Blue Angels blue ABS. Had to give away a lot of them "for the grandkids" of course.
Sun N Fun has sponsored and built an approved aviation high school on the grounds and students study engineering, airframe and powerplants and other aviation career paths. The directors of the school were very with the presentation and brought down teachers and students to see the printer and hear some of the presentation. I also told them about your new student version of the printer. They seemed excited and the lights went on as ideas formed.
There were also a lot of people writing down the company name and URL so I hope it manifests some business for you.
We pointed out the lost PLA investment path to metal parts and sand casting techniques, our direct to product prints and a theoretical process of building a throttle quadrant needing nylon bushings, nylon friction pads with end stops and printing the throttle, mixture, and propeller pitch lever knobs in the correct iconic shapes as well as universal color. Lots of recognition that this has real world applications in experimental aviation.

We'd also like to thank Gene for the parts he generously loaned us to show at the airshow, they made a difference when instead of Yodas or call boxes I could hold up a part and call it a prototype to verify form/fit/function or pattern for casting they'd get excited.
Thank you Gene!
Thank you Gene!

Oh and one other word...
Every time some guy came in and said he had a Makerbot in his office I'd reach out, gently place my hand upon his and with greatest sincerity say "You have my condolences" ...it only seemed appropriate
