Thanks for the replies! I tried it at 10% and it appears to work fine.. I can't believe I didn't try that. Truth is I was hoping to get it made by CNC but wanted to 3D print it first for rapid prototyping. The actual full sized part would wind up being 1-2 meters, so yeah quite large! Have you tried ...

Howdy all, I have developed an STL model which I have tested in netfabb and meshlab and it appears closed and orientable with no errors. However, Slic3r takes 13 hours (overnight) to generate the g-code and the g-code won't function in visualisation software. kisslicer generates g-code quickly, but ...
