I ran into this just now because of upgrading (also on a new machine) my old Rostock to the new hotend.
I've opened and issue on the new firmware repo if anyone's interested in chiming in.

Thanks for the help in finding the solution!

Idea: Delta Printers + Skyscraper Earthquake Ballast
In a thread about extras for your rostock max v2 http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=77&t=5467 , there was discussion of placing weights on top of your rostock max for rigidity and well, to quote myself: I was watching "Build it bigger" or something similar, about earthquake prevention in ...

Re: Second fan addon, but which model?
But which one? A dozen is a lot more challenging when you've no idea of the merits or fit of each.

Second fan addon, but which model?
Hey guys, I've got a V2 with the first gen effector. I print mostly PLA and my prints are pretty good. I have noticed that my prints are always better on one side than the other: the fan side. I'd like to add a second fan to help cool the other side of the print, but there's only one tab for the ...

Re: Stock Hotend bracket rod slipping
Posted on a different thread: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=4944&start=10#p39155 I applied a bit of white lithium grease to the outsides of the bearings on the metal shaft (including where they contact the effector), and the slipping has completely stopped. So far nearly a month ...

Re: What extras to get with a Max v2
With regards to placing a weight on top of the v2. I was watching "Build it bigger" or something similar, about earthquake prevention in towers. The trick there, at least in skyscrapers, was ballasts partially filled with water. So i placed a bottle of household cleaner on the top. Its not a perfect ...

Re: Stock Hotend bracket rod slipping
I did reach out to support, this is what they said: Quote Guanu: we are working on a new platform design but for the time being, we suggest a drop of super glue gel (thick superglue not the thin stuff) on the inside clips of the platform (the clips the ujoints press against, but not on the ujoint ...

Stock Hotend bracket rod slipping
The new hot end bracket has these short metal rods that attach everything together. One of mine is slipping, the other 2 seem stationary or to have a tendancy to slip toward the fan which blocks them from moving. I first noticed it after it had come apart. I was able to push it back in with my ...

My Rostock MAX v2 Prints
I've been torn on if this belongs under "What are YOU making" or here under "Rostock MAX v2", if a mod would like to move it, please do, and thank you. I was fortunate enough to pick up an assembled v2 a couple of weekends ago. I've had a short history in 3d printing, repairing a Makerbot Cupcake ...
