Re: 3D Printing in 3 Dimensions
In milling you have the exact same problem with the exact same solution. It was done in CAM software around 25 years ago.

Haha ... Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed both the simulation and the music.
That's going to be a part of my next project.

Re: BBB with BeBoPr
I have seen this video a few weeks ago and think LinuxCNC is the way to go. It's sure going into my next Rostock. That's a nice cape for the BBB here is another great board http://www.thing-printer.com/product/replicape/ . I would have played around with LinuxCNC but for a long time you couldn't get ...

VirtuMax Build
After building the real deal in February ( haven't posted any pictures so far ), I started this little project the "VirtuMax" a Rostock Max simulation. I might do some more window dressing in the future or maybe not. The Video is printing ...

Re: Control Board wish list
Almost forgot... Ethernet connectivity! Wireless? or is a cable okay? I was also planning on using a processor with floating point. Wireless you will not have a fast enough data transfer to keep up with the g-code transfer in line codes the only way is to have a look ahead feature in software which ...

Re: Control Board wish list
I would do a shield ( Arduino ) or cape ( beaglebone ) rather than a controller board. It's easier to upgrade the controller as they become faster and with more features year after year. It's cheaper to replace in case things break. You may have a larger selection of boards to chose from: Beaglebone ...

Re: G0 and G1 dwell. . .
This is a weird fix. G0 is causing problems and the fix is not using G0's anymore !? I was wondering this the other day when I couldn't find any G0 in Slicer but seem them in Cura. G0 is a valid command and shouldn't cause any pause in a motion. I would suspect that there is a problem in the ...

Re: What to do with the last lines of GCode.
I never noticed it and never had a problem so far (14.02 RC5). It Looks like an uninitialized string to me.
If you have a problem running it , I just would delete this section with notepad. For sure this is not suppose to happen.

Re: Repetier 091 for Rostock MAX now available
Is there any particular reason why "ARC_SUPPORT" is disabled in Configuration.h ?
Not that's very important for STL-files except a slicer would have arc-fitting but there might be other sources which have G02/G03.

Did you wrap the heating resistors with enough aluminum foil to have a good thermal transfer ?
