Re: How do you tell which platform you have?
I have a 12 pack on the way with the new V2 R2 platform. Thanks to JJ at SeeMeCNC. He sent me a platform and put the u joints I ordered in the box so I didn't have to pay shipping.

Re: How do you tell which platform you have?
I was looking at Trick Lasers Carbon fiber arms. Will these work as well? they sure would be cheaper.
Previous statement not worded well. What i meant was the u joints would be cheaper and i was asking if the u joints would work as well as the Carbon fiber arms. Anyone have experience with both?

Where do you get them?geneb wrote:Brian, instead of replacing the effector platform, order a set of the new Acetal u-joints. They're slicker than a wet watermelon seed and work really, really well. No more binding on the metal shafts either.

Re: Leveling problem
If your screws are bottomed out then I would recommend that you unscrew all of them to the same height and start from scratch. Subtract about 1mm of your z level height before running your tower gcode to start with so your don't crash anything into your glass. It takes me a while if I do this ...

Final Layers print problem
I am using an Orion And when i get to the last few layers that are small they are deformed. Here are some pictures of the problem. It almost seems like there isn't enough time between printing one layer and the next. Pictures of the prints https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9062478/IMG_4515.JPG ...

Re: New Orion parts replacement
As Guano wrote above, page 25 of the Orion's user guide tells how to calibrate the Onyx. He did a great job in writing it so that it is understandable and it works really well. Follow that procedure and your platform should be level with the bed, the entire bed. Edit: Make sure you get the 2nd ...

I also own the Orion and all I had to do is set the z-height, no calibration should be needed. If you ...
