Re: Simple enclosure
I do have an enclosure, it's nice, made most of the parts with pla, no problems with it so far, the bad part, I used tempered glass for the sides and door, that is the expensive part, you know what I mean. Did a few other improvements as well, want to send some pictures so bad, just haven't figured ...

Re: Hot End Temps Falls Short
 Howdy, had to work on that problem a few week ago, Yes, you need a cheap multi meter, you can order one from harbor freight or get a cheap one from Wal-Mart or Radio Shack if they did not close around your area. Check for 12 volts on the output of the power supply, voltage should be about 11 ...

Re: Glass Adhesion FIXED
Howdy, I have been using Suave max hold hair spray for abs and pla projects, used to bottle it for 15 years, if you want to know, the propellant is unscented propane and alcohol is the thinner that keeps the resins soft until applied, it is water soluble, so just take the glass off and run under ...

Re: Hotend can no longer get to 235*
I've got 2 each of the V2's, had gone through this problem with both machines with the stock PS, the power supplies need to be monitored, so you might want to set up a couple test points off the 12 rail, (+,-) and watch them once in a while if you are having print issues, you might not like what you ...

Re: Hotend can no longer get to 235*
Howdy, Names K.E.N., this is my initials/ first name, now hadn't read your whole article to notice about voltage, yep, that stuff, without it you do not get all the current ya need to keep the print head as hot as you want. So check the voltage if you can while the unit is running, and make ...

Re: And the print just STOPPED
Howdy again: My issue is the same, found a cause that you can only catch if you are in the area of the printer at the time of failure, print head heat loss, how could this be, well that switching power supply most likely, had you checked it out, you just might be surprised at the voltage,(check ...

Re: So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish
When I first started, I loved the sound the machine makes. It reminded me of Tron. Others said the novelty would soon wear off, but for a guy like me, i knew i'd never tire of it. Then I started hearing the sound all the time. even when the machine wasnt running, even when i wasnt home. eventually ...

Setting adjustments were not bad with the instructions, just read a few times, it will come to ya. About me, I'm 60, into ...
