Re: Static
I know the feeling of static in winter. I have a anti-static mat under my MAX. I had purchased a 24x24 mat, but accidentally grabbed a 24 X 48 instead. So I cut in half, and one piece is under my max and the other on my bench. It sticks out about 6 inches in front of the control panel ( I have a ...

Re: rostock max v2. ABS and matter control
Is the roll of filament easy to unroll from its hanger. I had a problem with filament starvation when the roll could not rotate easily, and the extruded could not supply filament to the hot end as needed. The hobbed gear would slip and eventually became clogged with plastic and I have to clean the ...

Re: V2 Upgrades
Nice looking enclosure. Have you had any problems with large prints ? I have a simular designed enclosure, and the panels come close to the heated plate. I was printing a piece of my halloween costume, and kept hearing a thump. Inspecting the item that was being printed I noticed some digits in the ...

Re: Latest problem is with extruder stepper
I had a simular problem. My extruded motor would get super hot with jobs that had lots of retracts. I ended up attaching a fan with a built in heat sink that I had salvaged from a old video card. I wired it inline with the peek fan. Solved the problem of the hot motor.

I do something similar, I use space saver bags that you use for clothing.
You cab get ones for suitcases, so not too big. I put two rolls in each along with a pack of desiccant, seal it and vaccuum out the air.

Re: Halloween costume
Thanks for the compliments on the mask.
I don't think it qualifies for the print contest, due to NC I think.
Here is the link to the file from thingiverse. Maybe someone can advise if it qualifies.

I'm making a imperial guard helmet from return of the Jedi. I found it on thingiverse and decided to give it a go. The supplied item was sliced into 28 different stl files for smaller printers. I reassembled in to larger sections to accommodate the rostock max and minimize the amount of gluing ...

Re: Bonding PLA parts together ?

Printer cartridge holder
Made a holder for my printer carts while refilling them. Before needed a third hand as the carts won't stand up due to the bottom having a nozzel that docks in the printer. Also need to have on an angle when refilling them.
