I was printing this as I was typing my last reply. Here is what Slic3r can produce with 0.28mm nozzle running at 0.10mm/layer. This took 1h:48m:12s to complete. If you want to try Slic3r, let me know, I can give you my config ini file that I use, you will just need to play around with some printer ...

Nice looking prints! It looks like you got a bit of extra plastic coming out of the extruder during moves from one object to another. Are you using Slic3r to create the gcode? If so, you can increase the amount of retraction that occurs when the extruder is moving, it would help eliminate some of ...

) print, done 4 of these at once using 3mm pla and 0.25 layer height, as you can see cleaned 1 three to go, back to it i suppose .....
