Re: Large nozzles

It may be a better idea to modfiy the extruder and the bowden tube to accept 3mm filament for such a process. Also, since you will be using a lot of material, i would try to get a setup that can extrude nylon. Is modification necessary to move from 1.75 to 3.00 mm with the Rostock Max V2 as shipped ...

PEEK fan

I know this is an old issue, but I cannot find the topic with the solution. After adding the PEEK fan, the hot end will not come up to ABS temperature. Gets as high as 220 C and that's it. If the PEEK fan holder was shaped more like the layer fan shroud, it would work better, instead of cooling the ...

part fan

I am trying to finish up my Max. I downloaded the part layer fan zip file but when I go to open it, zip says its an invalid file. Where can I get this file from instead? I have downloaded other layer fans, but the mounting tabs are too far apart.
Thanks. Mike

Re: Hello from Indianapolis

Got mine finished!! Calibration took me a little more time than expected. I didn't thoroughly the first time I did it. On the first print I didn't have slicr set up properly. Again didn't read and follow figure. Is the PEEK fan supposed to be inserted into the part just made while it is still warm ...

Maxx Rev6 Onyx heating bed

My kit came with the Rev6 heating bed. Seems like the only change is that the thermistor is back in the center. Gene, any other things to be considered? Thanks. Mike :?:

Re: Rostock Max V3 - requests, suggestions, etc.

Yes that would be good. But before anyone builds one, it is not smart for them to start altering the design... Out of topic, would having the melamine parts cut out of aluminum create any problems? Or would it have any advantages. Getting the same thickness of aluminum as the melamine could change ...

Dual extruders

I'm new to all this and have ordered a Max v2. Looking down the road what changes if any do I have to do to the Rambo board to allow it to use a 2nd extruder, if anything? I know about changes to the configuration file, and Repetier file, but do I need an extension board for the Rambo board? Will ...

What part of Indy do you live in? I'm around 73rd and Hoover. I built both Heathkit and Eico kits. Have you checked out clubcyberia.org yet? Nice group.

Welcome to the forum. I live in Lawrence near Castleton (recently moved from Noblesville). I got my Max going about a month or so ago. I love it. So much fun being able to create random widgets. My wife buys into me getting one, but wants to know know what I'm going to use it for. Right now she ...

Hello from Indianapolis

I haven't ordered my Max yet, but after I get back from Alaska I'll be doing just that. I have built 2 CNC routers myself. First one was sold. Still have the second and use it about 20-25 hrs a week. Really looking forward to building the Max. I have been working with the Arduino, the Raspberry Pi ...
