Re: Simplify3D ver 2.0.0
I'll try and play with my nozzle setting too. I would have thought that the software would account for this but that might not be the case.

Re: Simplify3D ver 2.0.0
I did for the most part. I increased my extrusion speed and also increased the overlap setting to try to make sure it covered any gaps when changing direction.

Re: Pause from LCD
Thanks for the feedback. I'll try work on it a bit too. I thought I was hitting end stops but now I'm not certain. I'll verify. When it shoots down and you hit continue it goes back up and then comes down again. Very odd. Also I noticed when you hit pause on the way up there a a few very brief stops ...

Re: Pause from LCD
Absolutely true. However they don't need to home when you pause. The motors never turn off and the machine still knows where it is. This is a bug.

Re: Pause from LCD
Well I'm still having issues. I replaced the SDCard.cpp file but now it seems to be doing something else. When I pause it goes all the way home and then comes back down to a z position and inch or so above the layer it stopped at. Then on resume, it homes again and comes all the way down. Not sure ...

Re: Pause from LCD
Well nevermind. I was looking through the SDCard.cpp file and see the problem. I went to Github to look at the firmware there and it looks like there was a fix 7 days ago. There was indeed an issue with the pause code. If you are having this problem update your firmware.

Pause from LCD
When I select Pause Print from the LCD, my machine takes off away from the print then comes back and crashes the part immediately. Is there a script that runs on pause from the LCD? I am printing from SD card when this happens.

Re: Simplify3D ver 2.0.0
2 places where we can change values to help fill those spots are extrusion multiplier and filament diameter, have you actually measured your filament to ensure it is exactly 1.75? I did measure and it is right on the money at 1.75. I left the extrusion multiplier since that is what it was set to in ...

Re: Simplify3D ver 2.0.0
I've attached my factory file and a photo. I appreciate any help. photo.JPG You can see that it looks like I'm under extruding but I can't figure out what to change. My settings match what is in Slic3r. I've been cautioned though that they slice very differently and settings are not necessarily ...

Re: Simplify3D ver 2.0.0
I've had my Rostock Max for a couple of months. It's the first printer I've owned and am quite pleased with it. I purchased Simplify3D a few days ago and at first I was very impressed. It is by far the fastest slicer I've tried. Overall I love all of the features it offers. However, like quite a few ...
