Just wanted to update you guys to say that the problem is solved .
I installed the new Corsair PSU and everything is working perfectly. I've gone through the whole calibration process and I'm looking forward to print my first piece tomorrow, wish me luck!
You should get a volt meter and verify your 12v and ground. They are really cheap - you don't need the top of the line model. That's a good idea! Not sure how I didn't think of something so basic. I'm guessing I should put a Jumper between the green PS_ON wire and a black ground wire to get the PSU ...
Okay I've been reading a bit about this on my own, and here's the gist I'm getting: The green and black cables that go to the Rostock power switch will have to come from the main 24pin ATX main power cable. Thankfully the Corsair PSU has these in their appropriate colors so that should be easy ...
Hey there! This is a bit of a spinoff question from my thread about the default PSU on the Rostock blowing up in the first 30 minutes. I've purchased a Corsair CS750M to replace the default PSU. It's modular, and my problem is that I haven't really messed with PSUs before and I'm concerned I will ...
Thanks! I got myself a Corsair CS750M, that should do fine. However, I don't have much experience manipulating PSUs so I'm not sure which cable I should modify and how. Has anyone had to adapt a modular Corsair PSU to their Rostock? It would be great if you could help me out with adapting it to the ...
Hey there! I just put together my Rostock Max V2 and I was very happy to see that everything was (apparently) working. I had already uploaded the firmware, was about to start calibrating, and boom. A capacitor from the power source blew up and I switched off immediately. I've heard of problems with ...
Hey there! While I was going through the rather sensitive process of soldering the thermistor leads, the thermistor itself came off the extruder, taking the small lump of silicone with it. I can plug it back in and be reasonably sure that it will stay in place, but what about the thermal connection ...
I was soldering the wires that go to and from the heated bed, and I realized later that I had made a mistake and used 22 WGA wire instead of 18 WGA. I was wondering if I should redo the whole thing, because I suppose it's dangerous to have a thinner wire there, right?
Wow, that is impressive! I'm very surprised with that level of quality. I've been looking at other prints and I'm decided. Unfortunately, after contacting the guys at Creative Machines, they don't sell rostock kits anymore. That leaves me with FUTUR3D, which are Czech Republic based. Unfortunately ...
@Steel_Neuron If you are wondering about the RMaxv2 print quality then post an stl file for us to print (something that doesn't take long, please). We'll post pictures. Know this...slicers matter. I get different results with pretty much every slicer I've used. Would you do that! You are amazing ...
Alright guys, I'm pretty much convinced that I want to get a Max V2
There is one problem remaining: The shipping issue. Do you know of any European retailer? Any Europeans here that figured out how to get it with reasonable shipping fees?
Hello SeeMeCNC Forum! Nice to meet you. I'm an electronics engineer (recently graduated) and I'm planning to get into 3D printing in a big way. I'm currently reading on different models, trying to decide which should be my first 3D printer, with a budget of 1000 euro (roughly 1400 USD). So far I got ...
