Re: My build thread

Tom, Look on the Mach3 configuration forum for more details on wiring the 4 axis board and using Mach3 with it. Here is a link to the forum for that board http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=49&p=2392#p2392 . For using Mach3, on youtube there are 5 videos from the programmer outlining the ...

Re: Mach 4-Axis Board Configuration

No idea what the stepping is... is that configured on the board by the jumpers? My jumper settings came from Steve's with Seemecnc. So you think it could be set to 1/16 micro step right now?

Re: Mach 4-Axis Board Configuration

Below are my Motor Tuning Profiles. They turned out to be double of that of mhackney's configs. I also had to reverse the motor direction for the correct + and - direction.

Re: New build almost complete

Thank you for the reply John.

It did end up being the Z height along with an uncalibrated A Axis, my flow was way to slow. Adding a pic of my first print. Just from this one print I see why heated beds are a must.

Re: New build almost complete

I would like to thank John and Steve for letting me know about the temp sensor from walmart. Looks my temps are correct now. I am having an issue with getting the abs to stick to the deck. Tried different things to make it stick, sanded the deck, blue tape and adjusted the temp a bit hotter to see ...

Re: New build almost complete

Adding some pics, my H-1 and a filament holder I found at Walmart. The filament holder really is a garment rack but works well for 14 dollars. The rack is adjustable and sturdy enough to hold a 2.2lbs abs roll, haven't tried anything heavier yet.

Re: New build almost complete

After fixing the issue with reversed motors all seems to be operating correctly. One question I have is about the goto Z button. Is there anyway when using this option for the A axis not to be zeroed? Each time I do this operation, after feeding some material through the extruder, it backs the ...

Re: New build almost complete

Hi all again, Things going well but ran into a couple issues. Via the manual, Y positive should be toward the front of the machine. Right now within mach3 my positive/negative are revised. When I jog any axis it is the opposite of that found within the manual. Is this normal? How do I revise this to ...

Re: Mach 4-Axis Board Configuration

And you should have a jumper from the thermostat board going into the COM (center lug) on the relay terminals, and then the NO terminal runs up to the other side of the heating resistors. Can you give me a visual example of this? Don't really understand the procedure. Took a look at the thermostat ...

Re: Mach 4-Axis Board Configuration

Currently working on the jumpers settings for the 4 axis board. What did you use for the jumpers? Kinda looks like staples. Also wondering what the top jumper setting is, hard to see PIC attached.

Thanks for all your help,

New build almost complete

I would like to thank SeemeCNC for such interesting product that is really fun to build. Currently I have all the hardware together and in the wiring stage of the device. Wondering if any one has used Cat5e wire on their step motors? I have some laying around and thinking of using it. Any ideas ...
