Re: Tri Hotend
It arrived today, it looks awesome and the included instructions are very nicely written too. All in all the hotend looks really good, I've yet to purchase rest of the upgrades I need to make it work but at least it's here. Can't wait to print something with it. Generic was awesome and included a ...

Re: New Print Surface - Buildtak
Thanks to the feedback here, I'm convinced. I ordered this from Amazon just now. I found the price very reasonable. I got a pack of three for $54 USD and free shipping! On top of that, it's two day shipping, so I'll be able to try it this week! I suffer with ABS warping daily. I've been using glue ...

Re: Fallout New Vegas (Game) Sign!
Looks amazing, I've only been looking at Team Fortress 2 stuff but seeing this thing makes me want to print a fallout thing now. The paintjob is just awesome on it.

Made a scorch shot from TF2(crap paintjob)
So I found this cool Team Fortress 2 print on http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:448498 and figured a lot of people might want that. Going to send it out for free to a community member of mine. I decided I'd try to paint this during my break time at work but I didn't spend a whole lot of time on it ...

Re: Tri Hotend
I've been keeping an eye out for this thing for a while now and it's finally released. By the time I'll get around to install it I'm sure someone will have written some sort of a tutorial for it. Hope to see it in the mail soon.

Re: New Print Surface - Buildtak
This stuff is amazing, both PLA and ABS stick to it perfectly. Using the metal spatula to remove prints makes the most satisfying sound. You can keep reusing it for a lot of prints too.

Re: Dampers!
PM'd for an invoice. Has the price changed for the new design? Has anyone noticed a performance impact? I'd be installing these for my first build. Not a performance impact unless 4 times quieter could be considered a performance impact. I was truly amazed at how much quieter the Rostock max is ...

Being federal agents? I guess, most stressful part about it was getting a text in the middle of my workday that government people wanted to talk to me and me only and that it's all confidential.Eaglezsoar wrote: In all serious that had to be very stressful. I wonder what gives them the right?

Everybody who posts in this thread should expect a visit from the feds soon... I'm prepared for their visit. :) Na, just the criminal types who live in a different Country and buys suspicious things from the USA, like pkhzor. The gov took your HDDs? I assume they had a warrant? Had I said no it would've been a bigger issue than it already was. They were together with the Canadian RCMP, they spent months looking into who I am, they even had a folder on my wife. Their suspicion and "proof" made me feel like they're from ...

Re: It arrived
Sadly my rambo board died 1" before my hotend reached the bed after I had calibrated it for a long time and made sure everything is A-OK in the tutorial. Yep, 1" short of printing the very first thing, I'm ordering a new rambo, it's due to arrive on Monday and I ordered extra fuses, went over ...

Re: Dampers!
They arrived and look great, I haven't had the chance to test them out yet though due to the hassle of installing them. Got one of them on and then life got in the way so it's waiting to be turned on and tested. Thanks for the dampers !

Re: Finally got around to getting one.
I did manage to turn it on without it blowing up so that's always good. What I'm worried about is a small whine that starts when I was moving the axes manually and it would only stop when I killed the task. I was using repetier-host to move the axes on the printer. Sounded exactly like coil whine on ...

You guys have a typo. Qualifications: Expert in 3D printing Advanced knowledge in 3D printer materials, such as ABS and PLA Strong analytical skills Un-baised reporting Should be UN-biased. I'd apply for this but I don't think I have the experience you guys seek. Edit: Typo is gone now

Finally got around to getting one.
I'm from Estonia but I moved to Canada in 2012 and thank all the gods/deities that I did because the shipping costs would've been worse than they were :D I've been a lurker for a long time before I even got the printer itself. Read through a lot of the topics, there's always cool stuff to see/read ...

Re: IKEA enclosure for Rostock MAX V2
I thought of making my enclosure out of acrylic at first because I wanted to see what's happening with it at all times but now seeing your ikea idea. It's probably a better idea to make it out of plywood and just have an acrylic door. It looks great. If you have access to a jig-saw and a drill, you ...

Since I have a full time job I can't assemble this thing as much as I'd like to but my work allows me access to a shop. What sized enclosure would fit this printer? Well, it's not that the power supplies are expensive, I'm more worried what will happen if the powersupply isn't powerful enough. Will the printers electronics get damaged due to it?

Re: IMPORTANT! V1 to V2 Rostock Max is Ready!
So I made a kickstarter for my steam community to buy one of these printers and I used the image from the seemecnc website for the kickstarter image. I'm wondering if that's ok with the seemecnc people as I also linked the kit which I want to purchase through them. I also attached the image below.
