Re: Middle layer issues. No longer solid parts.
As said above, lower the layer height. A good general rule: Layer heights should be less than 80% of the nozzle size. So for a 0.35mm nozzle, MAX 0.28mm layer height. Also, try to increase the infill overlap. What's your retraction and speed? lower that too Infill: 20% Infill speed: 40mm/s ...

Re: Middle layer issues. No longer solid parts.
I'll try the above recommended and reply when I get home. I was having these issues with a .5 nozzle as well, no change with the new .35 nozzle.

Re: Middle layer issues. No longer solid parts.
Give a whirl and maybe try 220ish. I have some PLA that runs at 190 and others pushing almost 230 to lay a decent layer down. I tried this out yesterday. The pla was burning and had a darker extruded color. I also have another print here that shows the middle layers goofed up. I also cleared epprom ...

Re: Middle layer issues. No longer solid parts.
I'll try the layer height adjustment. I tried running at 190 and 200. Same results.KAS wrote:I'm not sure if this will help the issue, but try to drop your layer height to .20
.35 nozzle printing at .30 doesn't seem like enough squish on the filament.
What temp are you printing?

Re: Middle layer issues. No longer solid parts.
Pictures of prints. The cube printing is a 2x the size of the calibration cube. Not sure whats causing the rot.
When I tried to pull the 2x cube off the glass, it actually was so weak that it separated.

Middle layer issues. No longer solid parts.
Having some middle layer issues. There's also some noticeable top and bottom problems, but it's more noticeable in the center. Tried printing slow, but it came out poor regardless. Recently recovered from a clog/jam on the hot end. Replaced .5mm nozzle with .35mm I had on hand. Using a Rostock MAX ...

Hello, I've got a black Rostock Max V2 for sale. I had it dialed in a couple times and it was printing great. Just lack the time to keep up with it. Re: ezstruder skipping a lot
I've had a lot of trouble recently. It's revolving around the hotend. I really want a drop in solution as that thermistor in the hotend is the bane of my existence in 3d printing. I think Seemecnc is creating this.

Having similar issues with my prints. Stock hotend. Appears to be a soldering issue on my resistors. Still looking into.

I too am having issues with holding a temperature. I took my hotend apart and there appears to be soldering issues with the wiring to the resistors. Looking more into it tonight.

Re: Calibration - Box, top layer issues
Prior to the bracelet above, I printed a Terminator head after clearing out ez struder, Bowden tube, hot end. Support said to go from 110 retraction speed to 60. After doing so, the Terminator head printed well. I then printed a larger terminator head and during the night MatterControl crashed on my ...

Re: Calibration - Box, top layer issues
There's three issues that I have that don't seem to go away. 1. The extruder motor that extrudes/retracts the filament stops extruding. The hobnob seems to eat away at the filament over time. So why does this happen? Maybe I touch on that in 2 and 3. But the filament is aligned properly as the ...

Re: Calibration - Box, top layer issues
Reprinting at 210 extruder and 7 top layers. While most of my issues I assumed were with the feed motor, I removed the PTC connector, cut and was able to extrude or retract filament just fine. It appears to be in the hot end, so I bumped the heat up a bit and fed some extra filament I had laying ...

Re: Calibration - Box, top layer issues
I started with .25 layer, 5 top layers. It worked. Then I printed .2 with 5 layers, it was meh. Did it with 6 top layers and it came out well. After that I tried printing the t-800 terminator at .25 scale from thingiverse. Attached is how it came out. Usually the hot end does not look like this ...

I used ABS. I'm trying to print with PLA now instead for larger pieces. I believe that was printed at 225.

Calibration - Box, top layer issues
I moved from Repetier Host to MatterControl. Printing ABS mainly to PLA. ABS was printing fine, but PLA is having some issues. I've attached a picture as it maybe obvious whats wrong to others. But the top layer on a box is having issues printing. I noticed the Seemecnc config for PLA was set to 210 ...

Re: Source for 4mm Quick Connect PTC Fittings...
I'm not 100% sure about this, but it may make sense to buy one that's rated for a higher pressure. These things are notorious for breaking and it makes logical sense to me that a higher pressure unit would be stronger and more durable. The amazon ones are only rated at 145 PSI. I bought a bunch for ...

Source for 4mm Quick Connect PTC Fittings...
I had an issue with a clog in my bowden tube. Well after trying to fix the issue, I need a PTC fitting replacement. Seemecnc is sold out.
But I'm not coming up with an exact replacement. Can someone more savvy with buying these parts steer me in the right direction?

Carriages don't seem to be lining up.
I'm building the cheapskate carriages and the bolts don't appear to go in perpendicular from the eye side to the axle side. The bolts with the cheapskates are on all slight angles.
Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I have a recent kit.
