Problem with support material
I've finally gotten my Rostock Max v2 up and running (yay). I have upgraded to trick laser arms, trick trucks, and an E3Dv6. I am getting some really amazing prints... unless I need to print any sort of support. The support material always breaks loose and I end up with wonderful, colored spider ...

Re: Not sure where to start...
The other board had the Z controller chip went bad... I went through the wiring to make sure everything was alright, nothing melted burned or shorted. I went ahead and ordered some new parts (board and power supply) so I can replace one at a time. If its the board I'll send it back and have it fixed ...

Not sure where to start...
I had my Rostock Max v2 up and running great. My son was printing out a project when we noticed the heating element wasn't shutting off. I tried cancelling the print job but it wouldn't respond. I have a Yellowjacket quick change board on it and when the indicated temperature hit 251 (it was set at ...

Re: Monolithic Platform for E3Dv6 Hot End
These mounts look fantastic. I need to be able to mount a yellowjacket one though.

Re: Some prints good some bad..
I'll have to get one and check. I was just shocked after the cube printed almost flawlessly and the next looked as if a bomb went off under the nozzle. Thanks

Some prints good some bad..
I finished my Rostock Max V2 about a week ago. I calibrated and printed with the .35 nozzle and the parts were great. The nozzle plugged, not sure why, but have it soaking in acetone. So I switched to the .5 nozzle, squared the towers recalibrated and now it seems a gamble as to whether I'll get a ...

Re: Monolithic Platform for E3Dv6 Hot End
Do you have any pics of it with the Yellow Jacket installed yet? I'm looking at mine and it appears I'll have to move the fan mounts and thermistor plug to the top of the board so it will lay flush.

Re: Gap when mounting in Yellowjacket quickchange....
For the original hot end just the nut and spacer from the original install. For the E3rd nothing yet, that's something else Im trying to sort out. I'm surprised it didn't come with some sort of holdown.

Gap when mounting in Yellowjacket quickchange....
I have the stock end for my Rostock Max V2 and an E3Dv6 end as well. I have two yellowjacket mounts to put them in. Everything was pretty straight forward with regards to putting the yellowjackets together then I came to the the hot ends. When I try to install the stock Rostock part, with the spacer ...

First off, Thank you Earthbound for the directions. Unfortunately in the new configuration I get no response from the Z tower at all. I still have hope

Re: Z drive heads down
I appreciate the information, how do you re-task the E1? I went under pins-h but really had no clue and didn't want to make things worse. If I can do it that way vs getting a new board, that would be fantastic!

Re: Z drive heads down
Cleared the eeprom and reloaded the firmware, still wonky. Switched out the Z and Y plugs on the board and the Y took the dive instead of the Z, so its something coming from the board I imagine. Its never the inexpensive piece the gets smoked..lol

Z drive heads down
My Rostock Max V2 was working fine, but struder was acting funny so I was troubleshooting. There was a spark from the front of the board and since then the Z drive is all wonky. When I click on the home button the x and y move properly the Z tries to crash to the bottom. I even went in and tried to ...

Hello from Upstate New York
I ordered a Rostock Max V2 and have been assembling it over the past week or so. I had to put it on hold for a few days until my order from Mouser comes in of the replacement Thermistor I (ehem) caused to not function :) I became interested in 3D printing when my son (11 years old) decided he wanted ...
