Re: OpenDACT Taking Measurments at Only 4 of 7 Locations
This issue is impart from a delay requirement on the program side. The first height measurement is checked assuming that the height is somewhere around the probing height(base is 10mm). So if the z height is initially off, then the program may send commands to quickly, causing this skipping to ...

Re: Bed leveling between towers
Still having some trouble with getting Casper leveled out. We have two areas on the right hand side that are pretty severe and never seem to change despite several iterations with OpenDACT 2.0.5 and 2.1.1. I made a post on the OpenDACT thread with information on what we've done so far. If anyone has ...

Re: OpenDACT(Delta Automatic Calibration Tool) - For Repetie
I've been trying to get Casper level and having a lot of difficulties in particular with areas on the right side. There are also some localized spots that print low towards the inner area of the bed as well that remain persistent. We've tried the following: Adjusted skate screws to as close as ...

Limit Switch for Bed Leveling
I'm wanting to set up a limit switch for use in the OpenDACT bed leveling set up. Does anyone have any advice on this or guides off hand specifically for electrical and firmware changes.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Bed leveling between towers
I wanted to thank everyone for all the help! We spent all day/night yesterday getting Casper back on track and I'm happy to say it's fixed! We remounted the spider and bed making sure to apply weight when doing so to get the bed area level again and after that we used the manual calibration in ...

Re: Bed leveling between towers
This thread might be your solution. http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=8698 Getting around the issue with auto calibration is not going to work due to the fact the prints will still be warped in the same way. We need to make accurate prints using nearly the entire bed. We'll will likely ...

Re: Bed leveling between towers
We looked into the issue further ensuring the table it was on was flat so no problem there. Noticed the glass was not sitting flat on the bed. Used a square and determined glass was bowed in the center. Removed the glass and found that the onyx bed was also bowed in the center. Loosened the onyx bed ...

Bed leveling between towers
We are having some bed leveling issues with Casper between towers. We have fixed the belt tension, updated the firmware and run the test mention here http://seemecnc.com/blogs/news/14684425-unsolved-mystery-weird-z0-behavior-around-the-perimeter in order to hopefully find a middle ground which we ...

Re: Ezstruder stepper not spinning
If it's jittering the most likely issue is a bad connection to the stepper. It's pretty much what steppers do when they don't get all 4 signals. If you have any sort of connector between the stepper and the RAMBO I'd start looking there, if not then I'd start at the board and work towards the ...

Ezstruder stepper not spinning
Casper stopped extruding mid print, we thought it was a jam so we cleaned out the nozzle. After running another print we noticed the ezstruder stepper only jitters back and forth. We can manually rotate it to extrude out so we know it's no longer jammed. Any thoughts on what might be causing this.

Re: October 2014 Contest ! ! !
Thanks everyone! Gene, I'm so glad we met you at the expo. Casper has been an excellent printer to work with, quite friendly indeed! Glad to hear my spider makes you want to reach for a hammer.. means the scary level is just right hehe. It makes me wonder if I can set it around the house to scare ...

Re: October 2014 Contest ! ! !
Thanks so much John for hosting this contest. It helped me learn a lot over the past month and I feel more confident about handling the printer by myself. Had to have my guy guide me along for awhile on how the settings and stuff work until I felt comfortable using the printer and the slicer program ...

Re: October 2014 Contest ! ! !
The spider is so realistic it would scare the living hell out of me if I saw it and wasn't expecting it. Excellent job! Thanks so much! The spider was a bit creepy when it was gray but once I sprayed the black on it's creepy factor kicked in high gear. I'm looking forward to finishing it up just ...

Re: October 2014 Contest ! ! !
Cutting it close! I've been diligently working on this project since the 3rd and I am ecstatic with how creepy this turned out. My spouse and I got a Rostock from the 3D expo back towards the end of August and have been having a blast learning how to use it and learning how to use 3D programs. I'm ...
