Re: Wiring changes

I'm curious how you are moving the stepper drivers to the top when the stepper drivers are SMT parts on the Rambo? Are you moving ALL the electronics up top or are you going to use an entirely different set of electronics (with separate motor drivers you can relocate near the motors)? Per the ...

Re: Getting the most from your ezStruder

Looking at some of these mods and it's great info! One question, when increasing the extruder torque doesn't that decrease the speed you can send filament to the hot end? Does this reduction present any possible reduction in practical linear print speeds and if so, what sort of limits do you run ...

Re: Howdy to SeeMeCNC community!

This is good information! It appears that the fan is positioned under the E1 (Extruder 1) MOSFET (the one being used by the printer) which makes sense. It also follows that the screw terminal connections between the heated bed (and maybe the hotend?) would be suspects for overheating as any high ...

Re: Howdy to SeeMeCNC community!

My concern is for the Rambo mosfet parts and the (IMO) rather odd location of the PCB cooling fan (blowing on the rear of the PCB an just on one end of the motor drivers). If there has not been a significant issue with Rambo's MOSFET's failing after long term operation (what would happen if those ...

Very few people are going to relate the name Elric to an Anime series.....cool name, just don't be surprised when someone asks you to print Stormbringer.....

Re: Empty spools

I know there is some sort of initiative (saw it mentioned at RepRap.org forums) to come up with some sort of (potentially environmental friendly) standard spool sizes / type for everyone to adopt. It's a great idea, but I think that ship has sailed (but I guess it's never to late to try and launch ...

Re: 3d printed PCB

It's interesting, but like a lot of the current 3D printing (on the non-commercial side) it's more of a novelty use of the technology than a practical application of the technology to any true prototyping (or manufacturing) problem that needs an alternate solution. Not saying it's useless or a waste ...

Howdy to SeeMeCNC community!

Just introducing myself as a new member here. Looking into purchasing the Rostock MAX v2 as my first 3D printer. I've been interested in the field for several years and started serious research at the end of 2014. I'm currently working in the IT industry but have a BSEE and previous experience in ...
