Re: Looking for Magnetic CF Arms (for Rostock Max v2)

Whoops, I did mean his metal ball end rods. Any clue if anyone actually makes mag arms either? Or is that purely a user-made upgrade?

Looking for Magnetic CF Arms (for Rostock Max v2)

Is there anyone selling either custom (well made! haha) or Trick Laser Carbon Fiber Mag arms? Or is there anyone who at least knows what the usual back-order turn around time is for Trick Laser.

Thanks ahead of time for the replies!

ColorFabb XT (Copoly) - White

Anyone have any issues with this material? The recommended temperatures are something like 240-260, however, when I tried printing anywhere in that range I got consistently blobby and oozing prints. So I decided to troubleshoot and try tests at lower and lower temperatures, until I hit something ...

Re: Rostock Max v2 + E3D + PET: Any takers so far?

I didn't like my E3Dv6 either. Went back to stock. I must admit, I finally got retraction sorted (3.1mm at 65mm/s), but the print quality was worse than stock hotend! Switched it back to the stock hotend (I had made the wiring loom modular with connectors), reset my MatterControl profiles, did a ...

Rostock Max v2 + E3D + PET: Any takers so far?

Hey all,

I was curious if anyone else out there is printing with PET, and what their experience has been so far, especially in regards to speed, ooze, slicing, etc.

Re: Quite a Few Problems (Excess Speeds, E3Dv6 Mount Issues,

Don't get me wrong Geneb, I wasn't blasting that method at all! It's a combination of the two that actually worked for me. Basically using the paper method to make sure everything is leveled off in those points, and then going for the eyeballed "calibration" to make sure everything is moving ...

Re: Quite a Few Problems (Excess Speeds, E3Dv6 Mount Issues,

Just wanted to say thank you for all your replies! Guanu, thank you so much for the script, it made calibration much more intuitive/efficient than the method described in the manual. Seems my horiz. radius was out of whack for that calibration method, but the point to point wasn't. Also I found that ...

Re: Quite a Few Problems (Excess Speeds, E3Dv6 Mount Issues,

Thanks for the response Jimustanguitar! This definitely sounds like a setting in your slicer. You can set acceleration and jerk rates and specify a max speed in the firmware, but the machine is only following the instructions that it receives from the GCode. Check your speeds in the slicer first ...

Quite a Few Problems (Excess Speeds, E3Dv6 Mount Issues, etc)

Hey all, first time poster here, figured I'd break my silence finally...with problems, whoops! So to just jump right into things it seems like a mess of problems finally piled together for me, and I am sincerely hoping I could get some help from the community. The issues are as follows, and thank ...
